The Peninsula Tokyo Launches the Peninsula Academy Programs July 1, 2018 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE THE PENINSULA TOKYO LAUNCHES “KEYS TO THE CITY” – Unique guest programs built around the 10 hot attractions in Japan’s capital – The Peninsula Tokyo is pleased to announce its latest experiential initiative, “Keys to the City,” a program that provides hotel guests with exclusive and unique access to 10 of the best “only-in- Tokyo” experiences. Now, not only does The Peninsula Tokyo’s room key open the doors to its elegant and spacious guest rooms, it also “opens doors” to VIP access and experiences for guests staying at the luxury hotel. The carefully curated programs are one-of-a-kind in culture-rich Tokyo, designed to provide guests with an insight into the capital city’s various cultures, arts and lifestyles. Highlights include: an exclusive private tour of the Imperial Garden located opposite the hotel; an additional glass of sake when booking a sake tasting program at Sake Shop Fukumitsuya; and advance tickets to Nezu Museum, a private collection of Japanese and Asian art from calligraphy to painting, ceramics and textiles. Guests may book any of the experiences via the Concierge, subject to availability. Advance booking is highly recommended – while some programs can be arranged at short notice, just one or two days ahead of an event, others require a longer advance booking time. 1. Nightlife: Kento’s Bar Kento’s, located a stone’s throw from The Peninsula Tokyo in Ginza, a hub for shopping, entertainment and nightlife, welcomes patrons to its popular club-restaurant with hits from the 70s and 80s as well as live music from local bands playing disco classics, rock, pop and R&B tunes. The popular venue offers a variety of savory tapas and sweets from the food menu while the bar menu offers draft beers, wines, whiskey and mixed concoctions. -more- THE PENINSULA TOKYO LAUNCHES KEYS TO THE CITY – 2 Keys to the City Access: When booking through the Concierge, Peninsula guests will receive a complimentary glass of Champagne with strawberries or an alternative beverage of choice prepared by Kento’s skilled bartenders.
