THE PENINSULA TOKYO LAUNCHES DOG STAY PROGRAM - Five-star service for four-legged friends Following its sister hotels The Peninsula New York, The Peninsula Chicago and The Peninsula Beverly Hills, The Peninsula Tokyo now offers guests the opportunity to bring their dogs to indulge in a little pampering of their own. One of only two luxury hotels in Tokyo to offer a dog stay program, these furry family members will be treated in true Peninsula style. Dogs weighing up to 15 kilograms (33 pounds) are permitted and a JPY 15,000 fee will be charged per night with guestrooms including stainless steel water and ceramic food bowls with placemat, Vittel bottled water, Simmons® dog bed with blanket and pillow and a welcome basket that includes wet tissues, dog diapers, toys and snacks. A dog cage can be provided for JPY 3,000 and The Peninsula Pageboys and Pagegirls are available to provide complimentary walking service in Hibiya Park or in the outskirts of the Imperial Palace. Should you wish to fit your dog in a Peninsula Page uniform for the walk or during your stay, a complimentary rental is provided. With its “canine cuisine” room service menu, video and CD selections, even dogs can enjoy the good life at The Peninsula Tokyo. The room service menu offers a range of appetizers and treats, entrees, and desserts for dogs that can be paired with a complimentary video movie or CD for their entertainment. The Room Service menu includes seven options, such as Organic Cobb Salad (JPY 1,800), Seasonal Sashimi Tartar on Rice (JPY 2,800), Kobe Big Burger (JPY 3,800) and Afternoon Tea Delight (JPY 2,500). Available music include special dog CDs that have a tune that only dogs can hear in the music. These CDs include Inu No Ikoi “Wanko No Oasabi” and Inu No Ikoi “Wanko No Oyasumi”.
