Shortly after the ceremony the happy couple bade a farewell to their assembled friends, and proceeded en route to Bristol, having previously engaged a berth in that fine ship the “Arabian” destined for Australia.

On the 16th inst. Died the Rev. John Crouch, Rector of Upton-Lovel, aged 69 years.

Died, on the 1st inst., after a long and lingering illness, Mr James Smith, of Upton Lovell, Wilts, farmer, in his 67th year, leaving a wife and twelve children to lament their loss. Surrounded by several members of his family, he quietly and calmly resigned his spirit into the hands of Him who gave it. He was highly respected and esteemed by all who knew him.
