BROUGHT TO YOU BY GET CLOSER TO THE ACTION Circuit resumed its role as host of the French Grand Prix in 2018 and enjoys one of the most picturesque locations on the FIA Formula 1 World Championship schedule. Situated at Le Castellet in the Côte d’Azur region, the circuit has quite a history and has evolved and developed considerable since its opening in 1970. Distinctive blue and red high-friction run off areas dominate the circuit visually, a legacy as its time as a test facility (Paul Ricard HTTT) rather than a race track. With the addition of the Mistral chicane, the circuit is now relatively technical and a challenge for drivers and team alike. In its original iteration, the circuit’s defining feature – the Mistral Straight – was reduced from 1.8KM to just the 1KM and over time has evolved further through to today’s distinctive layout and feel.
