INTERDISCIPLINARY PERSPECTIVES ON LANGUAGE, HEALTH AND WELLBEING IN ASIA AND THE PACIFIC

ANU College of Asia & the Pacifc School of Culture, History & Language ABOUT THE EVENT

Traditional Markets, ,

This virtual symposium is to bring together professionals and academics to discuss the interconnection between language, health, and well-being. We are interested in the social, cultural, historic and linguistic signifcance of these interconnections, as practiced by the peoples of Asia and the Pacifc. Of particular interest are contemporary issues on the intersection between language, health and well-being, such as the form and function of language in medical practice, health-care services, literacy, education, and in health policy.

This is especially relevant in light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, which has deeply impacted people across the globe in many ways, changing the way we engage with the world.
