Finishing in the bottle for 1-2 months Awards: 2015 vintage: L’Espresso Guide 2017 classi- fed among “100 vini da comprare” (100 wines to buy) Estate History Gabriella Ferrara and her husband Sergio, who own and manage the estate, are the fourth generation of viticulturists of their family. Ga- briella’s great grandfather planted vines on his property and he used to bring vegetables and wine on foot and with a donkey to the town of Tufo. The frst vintage that was bottled was 1991. The vineyards are managed by Gabriella and by Sergio and they are supported by the well know oenologist Paolo Caciorgna in the cellar. The altitude of San Paolo district, in the commune of Tufo, where the estate is located, is 500 meters above sea level, the excellent exposure is east/east-west. -

Giorgio Rivetti has been drawn to wine since he was six years old, growing up in Piedmont in Northwestern Italy, often taking a nip of what was being poured. By the time he was a teenager he was enrolled in a formal wine program. His father Giuseppe Rivetti had grown grapes and made small amounts of wine. That changed in 1977 when the Rivetti family — Giuseppe, Giorgio and his brothers Bruno and Carlo — began La Spinetta. They focused on Moscato d’Asti, a slightly bubbly, sweet dessert wine made from the Muscat grape. In 1985 they started making their first red wine, Cà di Pian, from Barbera grapes. And the growth continued. In 1995 they purchased the Gallina vineyard and began producing Nebbiolo wines in Barbaresco. In 2000 they entered the prestigious region of Barolo, building a winery at the Campè vineyard. The winery expanded beyond Piedmont in 2001 when they began producing wines in Tuscany at the Casanova winery. A Methode Champenoise winery was added to the portfolio in 2011 with the purchase of Contratto, located back in Piedmont. Despite the steady growth, the wines of La Spinetta have remained some of Italy’s best. Rivetti, 57, is a passionate and focused winemaker with a strong belief in tradition. -

31 . 12 . 81 Official Journal of the European Communities No L 381 / 1 I (Acts whose publication is obligatory) COMMISSION REGULATION ( EEC) No 3800/81 of 16 December 1981 determining the classification of vine varieties THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES, Whereas Commission Regulation ( EEC) No 2005/ 70 ( 4), as last amended by Regulation ( EEC) No 591 /80 ( 5), sets out the classification of vine varieties ; Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community, Whereas the classification of vine varieties should be substantially altered for a large number of administrative units, on the basis of experience and of studies concerning suitability for cultivation; . Having regard to Council Regulation ( EEC) No 337/79 of 5 February 1979 on the common organization of the Whereas the provisions of Regulation ( EEC) market in wine C1), as last amended by Regulation No 2005/70 have been amended several times since its ( EEC) No 3577/81 ( 2), and in particular Article 31 ( 4) thereof, adoption ; whereas the wording of the said Regulation has become difficult to understand because of the large number of amendments ; whereas account must be taken of the consolidation of Regulations ( EEC) No Whereas Article 31 of Regulation ( EEC) No 337/79 816/70 ( 6) and ( EEC) No 1388/70 ( 7) in Regulations provides for the classification of vine varieties approved ( EEC) No 337/79 and ( EEC) No 347/79 ; whereas, in for cultivation in the Community ; whereas those vine view of this situation, Regulation ( EEC) No 2005/70 varieties -

ITALIAN WINE REGIONS DANTE WINE LIST: the wine list at dante is omaha's only all italian wine list. we are also feature wines from each region of italy. each region has its own unique characteristics that make the wines & grapes distinctly unique and different from any other region of italy. as you read through our selections, you will first have our table wines, followed by wines offered by the glass & bottle, then each region with the bottle sections after that. below is a little terminology to help you with your selections: Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita or D.O.C.G. - highest quality level of wine in italy. wines produced are of the highest standards with quantiy & quality control. 74 D.O.C.G.'s exist currently. Denominazione di Origine Controllata or D.O.C. - second highest standards in italian wine making. grapes & wines are made with standards of a high level, but not as high a level as the D.O.C.G. 333 D.O.C.'s exist currently. Denominazione di Origine Protetta or D.O.P.- European Union law allows Italian producers to continue to use these terms, but the EU officially considers both to be at the same level of Protected Designation of Origin or PDO—known in Italy as Denominazione di Origine Protetta or DOP. Therefore, the DOP list below contains all 407 D.O.C.'s and D.O.C.G.'s together Indicazione Geografica Tipica or I.G.T. - wines made with non tradition grapes & methods. quality level is still high, but gives wine makers more leeway on wines that they produce.
