BALTIC BIKE TRAVEL is the only incoming tour operator in Lithuania specialising in cycling holidays. We have been experts on cycling in the Baltics already for more than 10 years. In this catalogue, we present our top products - GUIDED GROUP CYCLE TOURS and SELF-GUIDED SUPPORTED (HALF-GUIDED) CYCLE TOURS. All these tours are offered on fixed departure dates which are guaranteed from 2 or 6 participants and trips are never cancelled at a short notice like many other tour operators do; therefore after reserving the tour you can book your flights as early as possible in order to get the best deal available! All supported self-guided trips include guided sightseeing walking tours in the main historical cities, luggage transportation and a few long transfers by minibus! You are welcome to join our group tours where cyclists from different countries travel together (max. 19 or 25 people per group). These groups are escorted by experienced local tour guides who speak the English and German languages. Our maps, route descriptions and GPS tracks will show you the right way. Group guided tour: Travelling with the group and being accompanied by a minibus and cycling tour guide Circular tour: Regular relocation from hotel to hotel, but finally returning to the starting point. E-bike/Pedelec: On tours with this logo you can rent a pedal electric cycle (Pedelec) - a type of bicycle where the rider‘s pedalling is assisted by a small electric motor. Guaranteed departures: Plan your vacation in advance. We guarantee departures even on group tours with minimum 2 participants if you travel with us on fixed dates. We make it happen! Entry with passport: For travels to the Baltic Countries and Poland a valid identity card is enough for people from EU countries. Often smaller guesthouses and B&Bs which are the only option in certain areas have limited space, then we have to redesign the tour program or ask you to change the travel dates. Pre-sail was executed prior the exercise-that is very good for participating units to meet each other and discuss any outstanding questions. Sadly not all crews attended the meeting due to late arrival. The exercise plan was clear and easy to understand. It was very interesting experience to switch from the initial plan to some ad-hoc situations. One of the situations was to hand over national lead to other unit (it was handed over to Gunnar Seidenfaden). This situation was unexpected to everyone and contributed to real time thinking and planning. Denmark was chosen because of huge experience and big enough platform to perform as OSC during this scenario. Comments: as usual - could be better. During such exercise a dedicated line between OSC and air assets, participating in the exercise, should be established.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE AREA The Baltic coast of Lithuania extends to 91 kilometres. It is one of the shortest national coastlines in Europe. The case study covers the northern part (46 km) of the Lithuanian Baltic coast within three municipalities: Klaipeda and Palanga urban municipalities (miestas) and Klaipeda rural municipality (rajonas). The study area is located in the west of Lithuania on the south east coast of the Baltic Sea (Figure 1). Klaipeda is the third largest city of Lithuania and its major seaport. Palanga is the biggest seaside resort of Lithuania and one of the biggest ones in the east Baltic region. 1.1 Physical process level 1.1.1 Classification According to the coastal typology adopted for the EUROSION project in the scoping study, the case study area can be described as a combination of: 3b. Wave-dominated sediment. Plains. Micro tidal dune coasts. 2. Soft rock coast. Within these major coastal types coastal formations and habitats of sandy beaches with bare and vegetated sand dunes prevail.
