JENNIFER KEESMAAT - Chief Planner, City of

As Chief Planner for the City of Toronto, Jennifer is committed to creating places where people flourish. Over the past decade Jennifer has been repeatedly recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners and OPPI for her innovative work in Canadian municipalities. Most recently, Jennifer was named as one of the most influential people in Toronto by Toronto Life magazine and one of the most powerful people in Canada by MacLeans Magazine. Jennifer is the 2016 recipient of the Presi- dent’s Award of Excellence, Canadian Institute of Planners.

Her planning practice is characterized by an emphasis on collaborations across sectors, and broad engagement with municipal staff, councils, developers, business leaders, NGO’s and residents as- sociations. Her priorities include implementing a divisional strategic plan, leading an Official Plan review process, refining public consultation to provide more access to city building conversations, a renewed focus on evidence based transit planning, midrise development on the City of Toronto’s many avenues, and overseeing development review for over 4000 applications annually.

Jennifer is the founder of Project Walk, which premiered its first short film in 2011, as an official selection at the TIFF. In 2012 Jennifer debuted her first TED talk, Walk to School and in 2013 she delivered her second, Own Your City. Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (combined honours English and Philosophy) and has a Master in Environmental Studies (Politics and Planning) from York University.

MARY WIENS - Journalist & Producer, CBC Radio

Mary Wiens is an award-winning journalist and producer who can be heard weekdays on CBC Radio One’s most listened-to morning show, , on 99.1 FM in Toronto. Mary’s journalistic scope ranges from ground-breaking series on transit, such as “Joyless Commute” about the emo- tional strain of the daily commute, to a series exploring father absence called “Fathering Change: Strengthening the role of black fathers”.

Her feature stories have won numerous regional and national awards from RTDNA Canada - the As- sociation of Electronic Journalists, as well as the international Gabriel award for Metro Morning’s series, “Stolen Children”, about Canada’s infamous residential school system.

Mary’s deep affection for Toronto is also expressed in her work as a community volunteer. As a founding member of Roncesvalles Renewed and RoncyWorks, she has been recognized with a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal for local projects that help build civic engagement. 20TH ANNUAL MEETING WITH TORONTO’S CHIEF PLANNER

KEN GREENBERG - Principal, Greenberg Consultants

Ken Greenberg is an architect, urban designer, teacher, writer, former Director of Urban Design and Architecture for the City of Toronto and Principal of Greenberg Consultants. For over three decades he has played a pivotal role in diverse urban settings focusing on the rejuvenation of downtowns, waterfronts, neighbourhoods, campus master planning and regional growth manage- ment.

He is the recipient of the 2010 American Institute of Architects Thomas Jefferson Award for public design excellence and the author of Walking Home: The Life and Lessons of a City Builder published by Random House. He is currently overseeing the development of the Bentway.

ANNE BRAYLEY - VP, Philanthropic Services, Toronto Foundation

Anne Brayley is Vice President Philanthropic Services at Toronto Foundation. She has been actively involved with the Foundation for many years, including service as a Board member and committee volunteer. She joined the staff team in 2008.

In her role, Anne leads the teams responsible for bringing new Donor Advised Funds to the Foundation and providing a suite of customized philanthropic services that help them enhance the impact of their philanthropy.

Anne brings more than 25 years of corporate and professional services experience to the Foun- dation. Her background includes roles in the publishing and advertising fields, as well as the executive search industry. She was also the founder of Brayley & Associates, her own successful professional services firm.

Anne is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Canadian Association of Gift Planners. She has been a featured writer in Your Guide to Charitable Giving & Estate Planning© and Advisor’s Edge Report, as well as a presenter to many legal, accounting, insurance and wealth management professionals.

ANDREW CHISHOLM - Board Member, Evergreen Brickworks

Andy is a Board Member of Evergreen Brickworks and chair of the Don River Valley Park capital campaign. Andy is also a member of the Board of Directors of Royal Bank of Canada.

Prior to that he spent most of his career at Goldman Sachs & Co, which he joined in 1985 in New York. He served in a variety of progressively more senior leadership roles within the organization in New York and London during his 30 year career including as Senior Strategy Officer of the firm globally from 2012 - 2014, as Head or co-Head of the Global Financial Institutions Group from 2002 - 2012, and as co- Chair of the Firmwide Commitments Committee (primarily overseeing the firm’s equity underwriting activities) from 2011 - 2015.

He holds a B. Comm (Hons) from Queens University (1981) and graduated in 1985 with an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University, where he is currently Chair of the Advisory Board. He lives in Toronto with his family.
