Directions to the Noguchi Museum

DIRECTIONS The Noguchi Museum is located at 9-01 33rd Road in Long Island City, Queens, 15 minutes by car from Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The Museum is easily accessible by major highways from Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey.

Plan to visit Socrates Sculpture Park, one block from the Museum on the East River waterfront.

BY SUBWAY Take the N or W train to the Broadway stop in Queens. Walk eight blocks along Broadway towards the East River. Turn left onto Vernon Boulevard. The Museum will be two blocks further on the left, on 33rd Road.

BY BUS MTA buses Q103 (weekdays only) and Q104 stop near the Museum on Vernon Boulevard. The Q69 bus stops at 21st Street and Broadway. Walk along Broadway approximately 2 ½ blocks towards the East River. Turn left onto Vernon Boulevard. The Museum will be two blocks further on the left, on 33rd Road.

FROM THE QUEENSBORO BRIDGE Take the upper level of the Bridge and exit at 21st Street. Turn right onto 21st Street and go north to Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway. Proceed to the intersection of Vernon Boulevard. Turn left onto Vernon Boulevard. The Museum is two blocks further, on the left, on 33rd Road.

FROM THE MIDTOWN TUNNEL Stay on the right as you exit the Tunnel and take Exit 14,“21st Street/Long Island City.” Follow 21st Street to Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway. Proceed to the intersection of Vernon Boulevard. Turn left onto Vernon Boulevard. The Museum is two blocks further, on the left, on 33rd Road.

FROM THE LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY WESTBOUND Take Exit 15,“Van Dam Street, ” (last exit before the toll-booth for the Midtown Tunnel). Turn right at the first light, Van Dam Street. Go one block and turn left onto Hunter’s Point Avenue. Proceed along Hunter’s Point Avenue to 21st Street. Turn right onto 21st Street. Follow 21st Street to Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway. Proceed to the intersection of Vernon Blvd. Turn left onto Vernon Boulevard. The Museum is two blocks further, on the left, on 33rd Road.

FROM THE BROOKLYN QUEENS EXPRESSWAY EASTBOUND Take the McGuiness Boulevard exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp, turn left onto McGuiness Boulevard north. Continue on McGuiness Boulevard across the Pulaski Bridge. As you come off the Bridge, turn right onto Jackson Avenue. At the second light, turn left onto 21st Street. Follow 21st Street to Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway. Proceed to the intersection of Vernon Boulevard. Turn left onto Vernon Boulevard. The Museum is two blocks further on the left, on 33rd Road.

FROM THE BROOKLYN QUEENS EXPRESSWAY WESTBOUND Exit at the Long Island Expressway Westbound. Continue to Exit 15, “Van Dam Street,” (last exit before the toll-booth for the Midtown Tunnel). FROM NEW JERSEY BY CAR (2 WAYS) 1. Go into Manhattan and take the Queensboro Bridge (59th Street Bridge). Follow directions from Queensboro Bridge to the Museum.

2. Take the George Washington Bridge to the Cross Bronx Expressway. Take the Cross Bronx to the Major Deegan Expressway South. Follow the Major Deegan South to the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (formerly Triborough Bridge). Cross the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge to Queens. *Stay in the right lane and take the first exit in Queens at 31st Street. Turn right on 31st Street. Take 31st Street to Broadway and turn right on Broadway. Broadway will end at Vernon Boulevard. Turn left on Vernon Boulevard. Go two blocks. The Museum is on the left hand side at the corner of 33rd Road. Entrance is on 33rd Road. on the left side of the street.

FROM UPSTATE NEW YORK, WESTCHESTER OR CONNECTICUT Cross the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (formerly Triborough Bridge) into Queens. From this point follow directions above (2, from New Jersey).
