Par suite de la création le 01/01/2017 de la CAPB (Communauté d'Agglomération Pays Basque), celle-ci qui actait la fusion des 10 EPCI couvrant son territoire, recueillait la compétence en droit sur l'élaboration et l'élaboration de documents d'urbanisme et plus particulièrement des PLU (Plan Local d'Urbanisme). Le 01/03/2017 la commune de Louhossoa donnait son accord pour que la CAPB poursuive la procédure de révision du POS devenant le PLU. La délibération de la CAPB sur ce sujet est datée du 08/04/2017. L’église Notre Dame de l'Assomption est le fleuron architectural de la commune de Louhossoa. Après avis de la Commission régionale du Patrimoine et des sites de l'Aquitaine (CRPS), l’église est classée monument historique le 21/09/2015. Dès lors, en vertu de la loi LCAP du 07/07/2016 elle est protégée par une zone de 500 mètres tout autour.

The chief town of Basse Navarre is located at the base of the Roncevaux pass in a charming and lush pocket. The upper part of the city, encircled by fortified walls and the citadel – a fortification which had been built to prevent the Spanish invasions – were developed on the two banks of the Nive River. The city holds a rich patrimony which includes la prison des Evêques (Bishops’ Jail), la maison des états de Navarre, and the Romanesque bridge…that you shall not want to miss. Your constant companion on this dayney is the Atlantic Ocean. You set off among fishing villages and small sandy beaches, but you also see beautiful towns such as Hendaye, San Sebastian and Bilbao. Exploring the lovely Cantabrian coastline on foot brings with it many agreeable surprises. You make your way through some magnificent countryside. The first week of this long walk, which takes you as far as Bilbao, starts with a footpath overlooking the ocean. After that the route continues into the Basque country, to explore Markina and Gernika… This week’s walking ends at Bilbao, a town famous for its museum, the Guggenheim, which is very well worth a visit… PROGRAMME JL054 8 days - 7 nights - 6 days’ walking DAY 1: HENDAYE (or IRUN) Arrive at Hendaye (or Irun), and check in at the hotel. As coordinating organisation, PISTES SOLIDAIRES is looking for volunteers for two local partner organisations in the Basque country (SW-France): 1. The Youth Information and Sports service in HENDAYE 2. The ‘Institution Louis-Edouard Cestac’ in ANGLET We are looking for 4 volunteers, for two hosting organisations (2 available placements for each) from June 1st 2016 to May 31st 2017 (12 months). You will find all the details about the placements below. If you are interested in applying to one of these projects, please send a CV (Europass format) and a motivation letter or document of presentation both in English or French to [email protected] before January, 4th 2016. After a first selection, a Skype interview will be organized. 1. EVS IN THE CITY OF HENDAYE The town of Hendaye (17,000 inhabitants) is located in the extreme south-west of France at the border to Spain, in the Aquitaine region, within the department of the Atlantic Pyrenees, 30 kilometers from the towns of Bayonne and Biarritz (airport BIQ) and 20 kilometers from the town of San Sebastian (airport EAS). The main objective of this project is to promote Europe on local level. The EVS volunteers will be involved in various community projects with different partners and age groups. Activities of the volunteers: During approximately 40% of their weekly schedule both volunteers will take actively part in animations about Europe in the town’s leisure centre (during school holidays) or within the extracurricular activities of two schools for children aged from 6 to 11.
