Georgian College has developed a solid reputation for the quality of its programs, faculty and graduates. The College boasts:  A recently completed $60-million capital expansion at the 140acre Barrie campus.

 8,000 full-time and 30,000 part-time students (5,500 and approx. 10,000, respectively at the Barrie Campus.  More than 65 full-time programs available in a wide range of disciplines such as Business and Management Studies, Community Studies, Design and Visual Arts, Engineering Technology, Health Sciences, and Hospitality and Tourism.  The Institute of University Partnerships and Advanced Studies. Unique in Ontario, the Institute provides access to degree and post-graduate level studies in the Central Ontario region.  Degrees that can be completed at Georgian include Laurentian University Bachelor of Arts degrees in English, Gerontology, History, Law and Justice, Political Science, Psychology and Sociology; and Georgian’s own Bachelor of Applied Business – Automotive Management and Bachelor of Applied Human Services –Police Studies. Two other main campuses in Orillia and Owen Sound and regional campuses in Collingwood, Midland, Parry Sound, Orangeville and Muskoka.  The Canadian Automotive Institute (CAI), a centre of excellence for the automotive industry offering a Bachelor of Applied Business – Automotive Management program and a unique, bilingual Business Administration-Automotive Marketing program.  The Centre for Automotive Parts Expertise (CAPE) which addresses the engineering technology needs of automotive parts manufacturers through skilled graduates in design, manufacturing, robotics and tool & die as well as custom corporate training. CAPE has now partnered with the Industrial Research and Development Institute (IRDI) in Midland which allows for leading edge research for the automotive industry and specialized advanced training.  The Canadian Aviation Institute, which encompasses the high calibre Aviation Management program.  The Georgian International Education and Training Centre, which recruits and assists international students, and shares the College’s expertise in training and development with the international community.  The Corporate Training and Consulting division, which provides corporations and non-profit organizations with one-stop access to premier quality, customized training and consulting services.
