TIFF INDUSTRY SELECTS SALES TITLES ANNOUNCED FOR 2020

TORONTO ​ — TIFF announced today TIFF Industry Selects, a curated selection of 30 global films beyond the Official Selection that are available for sale at this year’s Festival. These titles, hand selected by TIFF’s Industry and Festival Programming teams, are sure to garner interest from buyers, as they reflect the Festival’s global spirit and showcase a host of new voices and international talent. These films will be presented on the festival's dedicated platform for press & industry, TIFF Digital Cinema Pro, to accredited press and industry throughout the 45th Toronto International Film Festival.

As a major hub of sales activity, TIFF is the site of some of the industry’s most significant acquisitions each year. In previous years, sales coming out of the Festival have included B​ ad Education ​(2019), ​High Life (​ 2018), and​ I, Tonya ​ (2017). The titles highlighted in TIFF Industry Selects represent the best in international cinema from 29 different countries around the world.

The TIFF Industry Selects programme is generously supported by National Promotional Agencies including German Films, the Icelandic Film Centre, I​ stituto Luce Cinecittà, the Israel Film Fund,​​ Spain’s Instituto de la ​ ​ Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales, the New Zealand Film Commission and the Polish Film Institute.

Film professionals can access Industry Selects, Official Selection titles, and private screenings by registering for the Digital Pro Pass, that also includes the online Industry Conference events and online networking tools for producers, buyers, sales agents, and film creators. ​Industry registration closes tomorrow, September 2.​

The 45th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival runs September 10–19, 2020.
