About The Location The coastal settlement of Peacehaven was created as a popular residential location a century ago, to offer both an idyllic holiday destination and a healthy living environment, combining the peaceful seaside setting with the legendary sea air and downland air. Peacehaven was established in 1916 by entrepreneur Charles Neville, who purchased land here to divide into building plots. He set a national competition advertised in the , to choose the name. A Mrs Ethel Radford of Leicestershire submitted the winning entry of ‘Peacehaven’ was born in 1917.

Peacehaven today however is attracting a new generation of stylish, young residents and is rapidly becoming ‘the place to be’ as the attraction of living continues to grow and the city expands.
