It will protect 7,000 houses in the area of 556 hectares from flooding. Will protect 33,185 houses / buildings from Storm Surge PROJECT COST: P 7.9 B ($158.0M) START: 2016 COMPLETION: 2022 17 DALTON PASS EAST ALIGNMENT ALTERNATIVE ROAD PROJECT (TUNNEL) By-pass road (with tunnel) that connects Nueva Ecija in Region III and Nueva Vizcaya in Region II. INDICATIVE COST: P 4.8 B ($96.0M) LP: P 3.6 B GOP: P 1.2 B START: 2018 COMPLETION: 2022 Sample Picture: Kaybiang Tunnel 18 METRO CEBU EXPRESSWAY 73.8 km high standard arterial road starting from Naga City and ends at Danao City with 2 km tunnel. Travel time between Danao City and Naga City will be reduced from 3 hours to 1 hour and 25 minutes. INDICATIVE COST: P 54.2 B ($1.08B) START: 2018 COMPLETION: 2022 Seg. 1-Talisay-Cebu City-Mandaue : 26.8 km – 6 lanes including 2 km tunnel. Seg. 2-Consolacion-Liloan-Compostela-Danao : 29.8 km – 4 lanes Seg. 3-Naga-Minglanilla : 17.2 km – 4 lanes 19 NEW BACOLOD ECONOMIC HIGHWAY 21.5 km road that would serve as an alternate route passing the interior area of Bacolod City leading to Bacolod Silay Airport and tourists destinations in the area. Will reduce travel time from the boundary of Bacolod City at Brgy Sum-Ag to Bacolod Silay Airport Access Road from 45 minutes to 15 minutes. PROJECT COST: P 5.79 B ($115.8M) START: 2017 COMPLETION: 2022 20 DAVAO CITY COASTAL ROAD 18.5 km coastal road (with bicycle lanes) that will start at Jct. Bago Aplaya, Matina Aplaya, Times Beach (Tulip Drive), Roxas Avenue to Sta. Ana Wharf toward R. Castillo Street. PROJECT COST: P 19.80 B ($396.0M) START: 2017 COMPLETION: 2022 DAVAO CITY BY-PASS, PHASE I 44.6 km by-pass road with 2.28 km tunnel. It will reduce travel time from 1 hour and 44 minutes via Pan-Philippine Highway and Diversion Road to 49 minutes via Davao By –pass road. PROJECT COST: P 19.81 B ($396.2M) * LP: P 9.27 B Davao City By-Pass, Phase II GOP: P 10.54 B Description: Widening of the 44.6 km by-pass road START: 2019 from 2 lanes to 4 lanes. Flood Control Facilities 3.1.1.1. “Bombastik” Pumping Stations Being a narrow strip of land with a relatively flat terrain and with an aggregate shoreline of 12.5 kilometers that is affected by tidal fluctuations, flooding is a common problem in Navotas City. This is aggravated by pollution and siltation of the waterways, encroachment of waterways and drainage right-of-ways by legitimate and informal settlers, as well as improper waste disposal. The perennial city flooding inevitably became a part of everyday living. During a high tide with 1.2 meter elevation, some parts of Navotas experience flooding, especially the low-lying areas along the coast and riverways. As a mitigating measure, the city government - thru the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office - disseminates information about the heights of tides for a specific month. This results in an increased awareness among the residents on the time and date of occurrence of high tide. During rainy days, flooding reach higher levels. The residents have already adapted to this situation. Those who are well-off are able to install their own preventive measures, such as upgrading their floorings to a higher elevation. During the term of the then Mayor and now Congressman, Tobias M. Tiangco, he conceptualized a project that aims to end the perennial flooding in Navotas. Since Navotas is surrounded by water, he believed that enclosing the city to prevent the entry of water during high tide would solve the floods.

    MMUTIS Final Report These improvement measures, however, will not fundamentally improve future traffic congestion. Hence, the MMUTIS proposes two new major access roads to Terminal 3. The first proposal will provide a new interchange from the Skyway to Sales Road. The interchange has to shift slightly from the exact location of the Nichols Interchange, but contained on Sales Road as an elevated structure. This facility will connect Terminal 3 directly with the Skyway, which serves SLE near Magallanes Interchange and Pasay Road or Buendia Avenue over the Magallanes Interchange. The second proposal is an underground tunnel from C-5 South Section to Andrews Avenue to go under the main runway. Although it needs very sensitive construction technologies, it is a technically possible alternative. This facility will directly connect Terminal 3 with C-5, which serves Roxas Boulevard southbound and C-5 northbound. The current plan, which terminates Line 3 at Taft/EDSA Station at-grade, would create serious traffic problem in the area and restrict the opportunity to serve the reclamation area.
