Cuando el pasado año escribía estas líneas para daros la bienvenida y os animaba a disfrutar del que iba ser un fin de semana esplendoroso, nunca, ni en el mejor de mis sueños podía imaginar como iba a lucir el circuito del Cerro Negro .

Aprovecho estas líneas para agradecer a mis compañeros de batallas, que comparten conmigo los malos momentos, y los buenos que llegan después, una vez que acaba todo y el último piloto pasa por línea de meta, que el último equipo abandona el Cerro Negro, que los últimos aficionados caminan tranquilos pero con amplia sonrisa en su boca...

Permitidme recordar también a los compañeros de fatigas y alegrías, a Mariano Arranz, a Carlos Martínez y a D. Gonzalo Lago, que con su empeño hizo posible volver a disfrutar de este espectáculo y que la Catedral volviera espléndida.

No quiero despedirme sin agradecer a todas las instituciones. 7 omo alcalde de Talavera de la Reina y en nombre de todos los talaveranos me dirijo a los amantes Cdel motocross para daros la bienvenida y las gracias por acompañaros en este fin de semana, en el que Talavera se convierte en la capital mundial del motocross, ya que acogemos la celebración de una de las pruebas del Campeonato del Mundo.

La celebración del Campeonato del Mundo de Motocross en Talavera el pasado año supuso el regreso de la competición mundial al Cerro Negro tras 14 años de ausencia y fue todo un éxito que hizo que las motos volvieran a rugir en una competición internacional sobre el trazado del circuito Carlos Martínez Zorita.

Gracias a los esfuerzos de este equipo de Gobier- no, que me ha apoyado en lo que ha sido un empeño personal, y la inestimable ayuda de la Diputación de Toledo, y la Junta de Comunidades, hemos conseguido dar continuidad a esta actividad deportiva para que nuestro Cerro Negro vuelva a tener esplendor con un campeonato de estas características. Además, todo esto no lo hubiéramos conseguido sin la gran labor que han desarrollado los miembros del Moto Club Talavera, a los que les doy las gracias, porque junto a este equipo de Gobierno hemos hecho posible que, por segundo año consecutivo, nuestra ciudad acoja un campeonato de esta envergadura.

Me siento inmensamente satisfecho con el resultado obtenido. Han sido muchos meses de intenso trabajo, pero estoy seguro de que la suma del empeño de todos ha dado como resultado que Talavera sea un punto privilegiado para los aficionados del motor. Por todo ello, estoy convencido de que todos los aficionados a este maravilloso deporte, al que Talavera le debe tanto, se marcharán con un buen sabor de boca al comprobar que nuestra ciudad no es sólo la capital castellano- manchega del motocross, sino que también lo es de la hospitalidad de la que hacemos gala los talaveranos.

Sin más, sólo me queda desearlos una feliz estancia en nuestra ciudad, invitaros a que disfrutéis con el rugido de los motores y a que volváis el año que viene.

8 Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Talavera de la Reina a Ciudad de Talavera de la Reina acoge en este año 2015, por segundo año consecutivo, la celebración Lde una prueba del Campeonato del Mundo de Motocross.

El circuito “Carlos Martínez Zorita”, en el Cerro Negro, volverá a ser el escenario ideal, entre el 9 y el 10 de mayo, para disfrutar de un deporte lleno de vibraciones, recursos y arrojo de los pilotos.

El Ayuntamiento de Talavera de la Reina y su alcalde, Jaime Ramos, no han dudado en apoyar con todas sus fuerzas la celebración de este evento de categoría mundial, que reporta riqueza, turismo, impulso de la economía local y conocimiento de una ciudad volcada con su progreso y desarrollo.

Junto al Moto Club Talavera, ejemplo de promoción del deporte del motor desde 1968, los ciudadanos, las instituciones locales, provinciales y regionales, así como las inversión privada, auguran un premio exitoso y brillante para los participantes y aficionados.

Recuperar una prueba de este calibre y reconocimiento mundial ha sido posible gracias a la unión de muchas voluntades, que merecen el halago general y la admiración de todos cuantos queremos que la provincia de Toledo se convierta en referencia nacional en todos los ámbitos posibles.

Tras muchos años de ausencia, el Cerro Negro vuelve a ser el epicentro del motociclismo mundial, como ya ocurriera el pasado año, al dejar cifras de record en todos los sentidos en una ciudad orgullosa de acoger lo mejor de este deporte.

Felicito a todos los que han hecho posible que el Campeonato del Mundo de Motocross haya regresado a uno de sus grandes templos más reconocidos, el Talavera de la Reina.

Quiero, en primer lugar, agradecer a la Real Federación Motociclista Española que haya confiado en Castilla-La Mancha para organizar este campeonato, en el que estarán presentes los mejores especialistas mundiales.

Esta confianza se ha ganado gracias al esfuerzo y entusiasmo de las personas que integran el Moto Club Talavera, cuya experiencia contrastada en la organización de eventos nacionales e internacionales va a permitir que podamos disfrutar de este espectacular deporte en un magnífico circuito conocedor de grandes pruebas de carácter internacional.

Deseo transmitir las felicitaciones del Gobierno de Castilla-La Mancha al Ayuntamiento de Talavera de la Reina, al Moto Club Talavera, a la Federación de Motociclismo de nuestra región, así como al resto de instituciones, entidades y empresas que, con su trabajo y contribución, hacen posible el desarrollo de un evento deportivo tan importante y significativo para esta ciudad y también para Castilla-La Mancha.

Seguiremos apoyando actividades como esta que, sin duda, son el reflejo de numerosos deportistas de élite de hoy y del mañana. Pruebas de este nivel contribuyen a la consecución de uno de los objetivos que nos hemos marcado con el Plan “Castilla-La Mancha +ACTIVA”, que es el fomento de estilos de vida activos y saludables entre toda la población.

Por último, quiero dar la bienvenida a Castilla-La Mancha a todos los participantes en este Campeonato de Motocross, así como a todas las personas que se acerquen a esta bella ciudad para presenciar las diferentes pruebas, deseándoles mucha suerte a los primeros y a todos una feliz estancia en nuestra región.
