MOTORCYCLE TOUR - MOROCCO - FROM THE ATLAS TO THE DUNES

A fantastic 9-day tour that will take us to discover that part of Morocco, too often forgotten by classic tours, but so rich in culture, ancient flavors, all those ingredients that make the difference between "traveling" and "making tourists" ": High mountains, deep valleys, ancient Kasbahs and legendary Ksars, small villages with mud-built houses, endless palm groves ... the oases and dunes.

The route starts from , a city nestled in the Draà valley, the gateway to the Sahara desert, also famous for the presence of important film studios where Hollywood colossals were shot.

Upon arrival, its atmosphere will envelop us with the color of its houses, which blend between ancient palaces and fortresses, where the colorful merchandise displayed in the shops of lively vendors will stand out.

From here we will reach Boulmane Dades, at the entrance of the homonymous Gorges, passing through the Kasbah of Amridil in .

We will then proceed through the gorges of Dades and Todra. We will go along fantastic off-road tracks accompanied by the spectacle of the deep canyons and rocky landscapes of the mountains.

From the , heading south, we will arrive in Merzouga at the gateway to the Sahara desert through dirt and sandy tracks. Here you will have the opportunity to take excursions on the dunes with dromedaries, buggies or quads and enjoy a tea at sunset.

Leaving our hearts on the dunes of Merzouga we will arrive in Zagora and the following day at the Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, symbol of traditional Moroccan architecture. The village is surrounded by walls and is located on the ancient caravan route that connected the Sahara to Marrakech, the destination of our last stop on the tour.

Marrakech and its beautiful Jamaa el Fna square, its outdoor restaurants, jugglers, fire eaters, the Souk, the Hammām, the Mosques will make us hope that the journey can be extended even more, or repeat soon!

Possibility to participate in the tour also with a passenger (only for experienced riders). PROGRAM

Day 1:Arrival by plane to Ouarzazate. Short transfer and overnight at the hotel. Free dinner.

Day 2:After a hearty breakfast, pick up the bikes with a short driving course. We will dive into an ancient Morocco, small villages of other times will accompany us all the way. We will visit the Kasbah of Skoura, one of the most famous and realistic of Morocco, represented for decades on a banknote. We will continue through valleys and villages stopped in time, along the 1000 kasbah road, so named for the numerous castles of red earth that emerge between the palm trees. Dinner and overnight at the 4-star hotel Xaluca Dades which is located in the heart of the Atlas Mountains. The hotel offers relaxation facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub and a hammam spa. The rooms have exposed stone walls and modern Moroccan furnishings.

Day 3:Today we will face the tour of the Dades and Todra Gorges, rock walls that create spectacular canyons, covering roads and tracks that climb well over 2000 meters. The views, sensations, colors and scents will be our unforgettable travel companions. Arrival in Goulmima in the evening, dinner and overnight stay in a fantastic Riad.

Day 4:We will travel south-east along roads and tracks to reach , an intense city at the gates of the desert. We will feel like the protagonists of Marrakech Express ... But a little less naive! Along the way we will stop to visit the fantastic sculptures of the Stars, the Berber aqueduct and the film set of the Film the Mummy. Dinner and overnight at the 4-star Hotel Xaluca Erfoud which boasts 2 swimming pools and a wellness center with hammam and massage rooms.

Day 5:Today we will come to discover the wonder of Erg Chebbi and the oasis of Merzouga. The dunes can reach a height of 150 meters and change color during the day from pink to gold to red. Here you can experience all the sensations and emotions that the desert can give ... silence, infinity and, at night, a sky full of stars. There will be the possibility, for those who wish, to make excursions in dromedary or quad. Dinner and overnight stay in a tented camp.

Day 6:The morning will continue in off-road along the tracks protagonists of international Rally Raid. In the afternoon we will take a scenic road that winds through the mountains dotted with mines that will take us to Zagora, a Berber city in the Draa Valley. Not many decades have passed since Zagorà was the first stop of the ancient caravan route that brought goods and animals to Timbuktu. Dinner and overnight stay in a 3/4 star hotel.

Day 7:Transfer by asphalt along the entire Valle del Draà to Ouarzazate. Do not miss the panoramic stops on those that were waterfalls formed millions of years ago. We will then continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified city that is a UNESCO heritage site that has been the backdrop for numerous film colossal, from Lawrence D'Arabia to Gladiator. Dinner and overnight stay in a beautiful Kasbah overlooking the Ksar.

Day 8:Today we will face the road that goes up to Tizi n'Tchika, an incredible step at 2260 meters, along one of the most beautiful roads in the world, and then dive towards Marrakech. The city is the second largest in Morocco and is also known as the Red City due to the color of its walls and buildings. Its position at the foot of the Atlas gives it a wonderful climate. We will go to the discovery of the labyrinth of souks with its characteristic shops where to shop ... remember to always negotiate the price !!! At sunset, don't miss a cup of tea on one of the café terraces of Djemaa El Fna Square from where you can admire the stalls selling food. Return of motorcycles. Dinner and overnight stay in a 3/4 star hotel.

Day 9: Breakfast, transfer to the airport and return flight.

If the minimum number of participants isn’t reached, the tour may be cancelled or run with a different format.

Motorcycle rental with top case. (A security deposit from 1.250 to 2.000 depending on the motorcycle requested). The bike rental prices include costs for public-liability insurance and roadside assistance insurance in case of breakdown. All lunches (could be packed or in local restaurants). All the room nights in double with half board as the program. All soft drinks. Transfer to and from the airport. Tour leader. 4x4 support for assistance. Luggage transport. Insurance covering most any medical issue during the trip including, doctors, ambulance, hospital and any appropriate family travel.

IS NOT INCLUDED:

Fuel for the rental vehicle.

Entrance tickets to museums, natural parks or other touristic sites. Tips and gratuities All meals except welcome and farewell dinners. All beverages. National and international flights We also suggest that anyone traveling abroad for one of our tours consider purchasing "travel insurance". It can eliminate worry from unexpected situations that can arise in any travel plan.

TERMS OF PAYMENT:

€ 800 Deposit, to be paid, on reserving a place on the tour (The deposit is fully refundable in case we don’t reach the minimum number of participants). Balance, payable, 60 days before the start date when confirmation from our organization is obtained.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Up to 60 days prior to the starting date, Hp motorrad holds the deposit, that you can use for another tour in the same or in the following year. Between 59 and 10 days prior to the starting date you lose the deposit. Hp motorrad holds the balance that you can use for another tour in the same or in the following year. From 9 days prior to the starting date you lose 50% of the total amount. Hp motorrad holds the remaining 50% that you can use for another tour in the same or in the following year.
