В статье приведены сведения о географическом распро- странении подсолнечника калифор- нийского и подсолнечника реснитча- того, их краткое морфологическое описание и возможные пути распро- странения. Ключевые слова. Карантин расте- ний, Helianthus L., подсолнечник кали- форнийский, подсолнечник реснитча- тый, распространение, морфология, местообитания, вредоносность. Helianthus L. или Подсолнечник, – сложный в таксономическом отно- шении род американского проис- хождения, относящийся к семейству Сложноцветные (Asteraceae Bercht. & J. Presl) и объединяющий, по раз- ным оценкам, до 110 однолетних и многолетних видов (Анащенко, 1974; Schilling, 2006; Schilling, Heiser, 1981; Schilling, Panero, 2011).     Intro 1996 National List of Vascular Plant Species That Occur in Wetlands The Fish and Wildlife Service has prepared a National List of Vascular Plant Species That Occur in Wetlands: 1996 National Summary (1996 National List). The 1996 National List is a draft revision of the National List of Plant Species That Occur in Wetlands: 1988 National Summary (Reed 1988) (1988 National List). The 1996 National List is provided to encourage additional public review and comments on the draft regional wetland indicator assignments. The 1996 National List reflects a significant amount of new information that has become available since 1988 on the wetland affinity of vascular plants. This new information has resulted from the extensive use of the 1988 National List in the field by individuals involved in wetland and other resource inventories, wetland identification and delineation, and wetland research. Interim Regional Interagency Review Panel (Regional Panel) changes in indicator status as well as additions and deletions to the 1988 National List were documented in Regional supplements. The National List was originally developed as an appendix to the Classification of Wetlands and Deepwater Habitats of the United States (Cowardin et al.1979) to aid in the consistent application of this classification system for wetlands in the field.. The 1996 National List also was developed to aid in determining the presence of hydrophytic vegetation in the Clean Water Act Section 404 wetland regulatory program and in the implementation of the swampbuster provisions of the Food Security Act. While not required by law or regulation, the Fish and Wildlife Service is making the 1996 National List available for review and comment.

A considerable amount of information concerning foodplants of this species has been collected. Foodplant utilization information is an important base from which ecological studies may emerge. Such information is also invaluable in evaluating the significance of tested foodplant preferences of larvae and adults. Such studies have been under way by other investigators and will be available for comparison with natural population observa­ tions.

Abstract Administered by the USDA Forest Service, the Kiowa and Rita Blanca National Grasslands occupy 230,000 acres of public land extending from northeastern New Mexico into the panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas. A mosaic of topographic features including canyons, plateaus, rolling grasslands and outcrops supports a diverse flora. Eight hundred twenty six (826) species of vascular plant species representing 81 plant families are known to occur on or near these public lands. This report includes a history of the area; ethnobotanical information; an introductory overview of the area including its climate, geology, vegetation, habitats, fauna, and ecological history; and a plant survey and information about the rare, poisonous, and exotic species from the area. A vascular plant checklist of 816 vascular plant taxa in the appendix includes scientific and common names, habitat types, and general distribution data for each species. This list is based on extensive plant collections and available herbarium collections. Authors Donald L. (1991) have recently recognized 4 taxa within the Calligraphus species group on the basis of breeding experiments, karyology, morphology, ecology and distribution. Subsp. calligraphus occurs in the eastern USA and adjacent parts of Canada; subsp. ponderosae occurs in the range of Pinus ponderosa in the Black Hills, eastern Rocky Mountains and in the northern Sierra Madre Oriental in Mexico; subsp. interstitialis occurs in the Caribbean Archipelago. Ips apache Lanier et al. has been separated as a distinct species and occurs at lower altitudes from southeastern Arizona (USA) through Mexico. Populations south of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec on the east coast of Central America are provisionally considered to be I. apache. In the Caribbean, subsp. interstitialis attacks Pinus caribaea, P. cubensis, P. kesiya, P. maestrensis, P. massoniana, P. merkusii, P. occidentalis, P. oocarpa, P. patula, P. tropicalis. (Pinales: Pinaceae), forests of northern Arizona have re- sulted in widespread tree mortality. Current treatment options, such as spraying individual P. ponderosa with insecticides or deep watering of P. ponderosa in urban and periurban settings, are limited in applicability and scale. Thinning stands to increase tree vigor is also recommended, but appropriate timing is crucial. Antiaggregation pheromones, widely used to protect high-value trees or areas against attacks by several spe- cies of Dendroctonus Erichson (Coleoptera: Curculionidae; Scolytinae), would provide a feasible alternative with less environmental impacts than current treatments.     Stat tt e L o a c k S e P l an st t Checkli Lake Scott State Park, with its large natural springs and protected basin, has long been recognized for the unique characteristics of its flora. Because of the variety of habi- tats present within the park, the diversity of plant species is said to be greater than any other area in the western half of Kansas. This checklist is meant to aid in the enjoyment and appreciation of plants that might be found while visiting Scott State Lake. This checklist does not replace a field guide or other identification reference. There are many good wildflower guides available, with pho- tographs or drawings and plant descriptions. In order to learn to recognize the plants and to learn more about them, it is advisable to purchase a guide for your individual level of interest and experience. Included in this list are native flora and introduced species that have naturalized. Non- native plants are designated by an asterisk (*). This brochure contains a wide diversi- ty of plants. However, this is by no means a complete list of the plants at Scott State Lake. The symbols used are: OCCURRENCE: C = common U = uncommon R = rare OCCURRENCE, particularly of annuals and in relation to the flowering of perennials, can vary greatly from year to year depending on fluctuations in rainfall, temperature, and stress factors that influence growth. HABITAT: M = moist ground or in standing water W = woodland or shady, sheltered areas P = prairie, open with full sun D = disturbed areas, such as roadsides U = bryophyte (mosses and liverworts) and lichen habitats R = found growing on rocks S = grows on soil B = grows on tree bark Some plants are found in more than one habitat, but they are listed by only the habitat in which they are most likely to be found.

[email protected] ABSTRACT The Nature Conservancy Davis Mountains Preserve (DMP) is located 24.9 mi (40 km) northwest of Fort Davis, Texas, in the northeastern region of the Chihuahuan Desert and consists of some of the most complex topography of the Davis Mountains, including their summit, Mount Livermore, at 8378 ft (2554 m). The cool, temperate, “sky island” ecosystem caters to the requirements that are needed to accommo- date a wide range of unique diversity, endemism, and vegetation patterns, including desert grasslands and montane savannahs. The current study began in May of 2011 and aimed to catalogue the entire vascular flora of the 18,360 acres of Nature Conservancy property south of Highway 118 and directly surrounding Mount Livermore. Previous botanical investigations are presented, as well as biogeographic relation- ships of the flora. The numbers from herbaria searches and from the recent field collections combine to a total of 2,153 voucher specimens, representing 483 species and infraspecies, 288 genera, and 87 families. The best-represented families are Asteraceae (89 species, 18.4% of the total flora), Poaceae (76 species, 15.7% of the total flora), and Fabaceae (21 species, 4.3% of the total flora). The current study represents a 25.44% increase in vouchered specimens and a 9.7% increase in known species from the study area’s 18,360 acres and describes four en- demic and fourteen non-native species (four invasive) on the property.
