Anti-ITGA2B; ITGB3 Monoclonal Antibody, Clone 348 (DCABH-9400) This Product Is for Research Use Only and Is Not Intended for Diagnostic Use Anti-ITGA2B; ITGB3 monoclonal antibody, clone 348 (DCABH-9400) This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic use. PRODUCT INFORMATION Product Overview Mouse monoclonal to Integrin alpha 2b + beta 3 Antigen Description ITGA2B encodes integrin alpha chain 2b. Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. Alpha chain 2b undergoes post-translational cleavage to yield disulfide-linked light and heavy chains that join with beta 3 to form a fibronectin receptor expressed in platelets that plays a crucial role in coagulation. Mutations that interfere with this role result in thrombasthenia. In addition to adhesion, integrins are known to participate in cell-surface mediated signalling. Specificity Under reducing conditions, this antibody will bind against the human platelet membrane glycoproteins IIb and/or IIIa, which have molecular weights of ~130,000 (IIb) and 115,000 (IIIa). Immunogen 109 human platelet suspension. The supernatant fluid from postitive clones was screened via ELISA, the solid phase being coated with washed platelets. Isotype IgG1 Source/Host Mouse Species Reactivity Human Clone 348 Purification Affinity purified from ascitic fluid. Conjugate Unconjugated Applications IP, WB Format Liquid Size 100 μg Preservative None Storage store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles. In addition to mediating cell adhesion, integrins also play important roles in modulating signal transduction pathways that control cellular responses including migration, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis (PMID:19118207).
