Mrs. Maryland 2017 Farewell

Friends,, Family,, Supporters,, and Delegates,,

What an incredible journey it has been! 20 years ago my own mother stood on the Mrs. MD America stage with the goal of taking home the title and crown. My family and I were there to witness the incredible honor given to her at the time. Following my mom throughout her reign inspired me to be involved in my community. I knew then that I wanted to follow in her footsteps with the goal of, one day, becoming Mrs. Maryland America.

My reign this year has been one of the most incredible, uplifting and inspiring experiences of my life. I would not have earned the title without the love, support and encouragement I received from all my family, friends and sponsors through this journey. Thank you for believing in my dreams!

Mom, your undying faith in me has never faltered through this journey. I am the luckiest daughter in the world to have you as my mom!

Dad, thank you for accompanying me as we shared our family’s story at all the Alzheimer’s Association appearances throughout my reign. You’ve always encouraged me to follow my dreams no matter how big or small they may be. You’ve always taught me that with hard work and dedication anything is possible. Thank you for believing in me!

Brandon, you’re my partner, best friend, biggest fan and love of my life. I cannot imagine going through this crazy life without you! Thank you for being the most amazing husband and father. I love you more and more everyday of our magnificent life together.

Laurett, Drew and Laura, thank you for your dedication to this amazing organization. I am truly blessed to be a part of the Mrs. America Family!

To the new Mrs. Maryland America, continue to inspire and empower women throughout your reign. I’m here for you for any support or guidance you may need. Enjoy every moment of this extraordinary year!
