Having started Fayz Construction Company in 1995 in Uzbekistan as a small business, we moved our business to in 2003. Starting from a small construction and road building projects now we are one of the biggest construction companies in Afghanistan having built multiple roads, airports, water/wastewater systems and canals.

We are proud that in the last 14 years we have worked throughout Afghanistan in the most volatile and challenging environments and contributed significantly to the reconstruction of our war torn country. We have gained a great deal of knowledge working with international partners and donors including USACE, ADB, ISAF and the government of Afghanistan.

We have kept with the changing times and evolved to meet the evolving and changing needs of our clients. FCC is now one of the top 10 construction companies in Afghanistan. Now, once again we are moving in a new direction focusing more on large infrastructure projects including dams, power transmission projects, renewable energy, highways, tunnels, construction of airport infrastructure and residential townships.

Afghanistan is moving at a faster pace than before to rebuild its infrastructure specifically in the power and transportation sector and we intend to be a part of that reconstruction.

Fayz Construction Company (FCC) a subsidiary of Fayz Group, is a design/build contractor based in Kabul, Afghanistan. Fayz Construction Company is a one-stop solution-providing firm where we provide our clients best quality professional services at cost-effective Rates through efficient management.

Fayz Construction Company was established in 2003 with the goal of utilizing Afghan capacity in the reconstruction of Afghanistan. FCC during its 13 years of operations in Afghanistan has worked with the Government of Afghanistan, United Nations, World Bank, Asian Development Bank and Several other international clients.

Fayz Construction Company offers a wide array of specialized professional services in civil/ structural/mechanical/electricial engineering, and architectural design, along with planning, design and construction administration.

Past Performance and Experience

FCC has more than 14 years of experience in Afghanistan. Our vast list of clients include the US Army Corps of Engineers, the United Nations, the Government of Afghanistan, EU Agencies/Coun- tries, and the Private Sector.

FCC is the first Afghan Company to have design-built and commissioned four (4) Airport Projects, four (4) Military Bases, multiple Roads and Bridges. We are among the very few companies in Afghanistan that have the expertise to design and build prefabricated steel-component-bridges.

Furthermore FCC has completed several multi-story residential and commercial complexes and other buildings. Overall FCC’s volume of work can be estimated at $120 Million.

Amu Metal Invest (Shymkent) Recently commissioned, FCC’s steel plant in Shymkent, Kazakhstan is capable of producing 150 metric tons of steel products per day. The plant has been designed to recycle scrap steel products and produce billets and slabs for recasting as well as finished steel products for the construction industry.

Faiz Trading Ltd., founded in 1993 has been operating in Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and . The company specializes in import/export of goods, strategic sourcing, material manage- ment, contract management, logistics, procurement and supply chain management.

Fayz Food and Logistics was established in 1998 in Uzbekistan. Head quartered in Tashkent, Fayz Food and Logistics specializes in Depot/Warehousing, Transportation, Catering and Event Manage- ment Services.

Current Projects

Khwaja Bahaudin to Yangi Qala Road (2017-2020) Construction of Segment 3 of the Kokcha Banks Road Project. The work includes the construction of 28.615 km Asphalt Road linking Khwaja Bahaudin to Yangi Qala District in Takhar Province with all its supporting works and structures.

Qarabagh Jaghori Road (2017-2020) Construction of 30.367 km Asphalt Road linking Qarabagh District to Jaghori District in Ghazni Province The project includes earthworks, laying of 10cm asphalt surface, construction of a bridge, culverts, retaining walls, drainage strcutures and slope protection works.

Shibirghan to Sari Pul Road (2017-2019) Laying 10 cm thick Asphalt Pavement for 51.3 kilometers of road between Shibirghan and Sari Pul City. The Road will be classified as a national highway after completion. In addition the project also includes the construction of a stopping area for vehicles along the highway.

Maimana City Urban Roads (2017-2020) Construction of 32.8 Kilometers of Urban Roads in Maimana City. The work included the earthworks, construction of culverts, retaining walls, drainage structures and laying asphalt pavement and installation of road furniture and road markings.

Airports

Kunduz Airport (2016-2017) The work included the reconstruction of 1Kilometer of the existing runway and perform permanent repairs on all paved surfaces. In addition FCC also built 12000 meters of perimeter wall/fence along with guard towers and other security features. FCC was responsible for building new concrete pavements and incidental construction.

Khost International Airport (2013-2017) The project involved the design and construction of 2.5 Km Asphalt Runway, Taxiway, Apron, Connecting Roads, Vehicle Parking and Drainage Structures for International Airport. The Airport was designed for handling large airliners and will serve as the transport hub for South-Eastern Afghanistan. The project was challenging given that it included more than 3 Million cubic meters of earthworks and more than 50 Thousand Cubic meter of asphalt pavement was laid.

16 Farah Regional Airport (2014-2016) The project included the design and construction of Farah Regional Airport. The primary features of work were the 1.7 Km Asphalt Runway, Taxiway, Apron and Drainage Structures. In addition the work included earthworks, construction of airport safety zones, aircraft turnpaths and other minor civil construction.

Cheghcheran Airport, Ghor Province (2008-2011) Design and construction of all the facilities at Ceghcheran Airport in Ghor Province, Afghanistan. The work included design/build of a 2KM Asphalt Runway, Asphalt Taxiway, Concrete Apron, Vehicle Parking, Adjoining Roadways and Airport access Road, Drainage Network and Utilities. It also included the design and construction of a passenger terminal building, fire station, air traffic control tower, maintenance and staff housing buildings. FCC was also responsible for ensuring that there was a surface for NATO aircraft to land on and take off from during the course of the project.

Buildings

Deh Yak ANA Garrison, Ghazni Province (2012-2014) FCC was responsible for the construction of 52 K-Span and CMU construction buildings at the Deh Yak ANA Garrison. The buildings included HQ Building, Admin Facilities, Tech Ops Center, Barracks, Latrines, DFAC and Kitchen, Training Facilities, Storages, Vehicle Maintenance Buildings, Fire Station, MWR & DPW Building and Post Office.

Kabul Utility HQ Building (2008-2011) The project included the construction of a 3,500 sqm building to house the offices of the Utilities Branch of Ministry of Urban Development. The building was constructed in two blocks each three stories tall with all the required water, sewer and electrical work as well as the installation of a central heating system. In addition the work also included construction of perimeter security walls and other force protection measures.

18 O&M and Repairs

Repairs of Warranty Works of G-K Road (2012) Maintenance and Repairs of 100KM asphalt road from Gardez City to Khost. The maintenance of the road also included all structures (culverts, causeways, retaining walls, slope riprap). The scope of work included deep patching, surface patching, milling and filling, crack sealing, and shoulder repairs etc. It also included removal of debris from drainage systems and full repair of all concrete structures except bridges.

Repair and Maintenance of Paktiya Road (2010-2011) Maintenance and Repairs of 81Km Roads of Paktiya Province. FCC was responsible for deep patching, surface patching, milling and filling, crack sealing, and shoulder repairs among other works. In addition FCC was also responsible for removing all debris from drainage systems and repairing all concrete and stone masonry structures. The work did not include repairs to bridges.

O&M (Snow Clearing) of Salang Pass to Pul-e-Khumri Highway, Baghlan, Afghanistan (2009-2010) Clearing the snow from Salang Pass to Pul-e-Khumri Highway on a daily basis in winter months

19 Project Experience

Roads and Bridges

Uruzgan Bridges (2009-2011) Construction of the 120 meter long Regak Prefabricated Steel Component Bridge and the Subsurface Investigation of Oshay Bridge. The work included demolition of existing bridge, survey alignment, construction concrete abutments, piers and pier caps, procurement and installation of prefabricated steel component bridge.

Sayed Abad to Onkhoi Road (2007-2011) Construction of 19 Km DBST Surface road between Sayed Abad and Onkhoi Districts of Wardak Province. The work included earthworks, DBST pavement, all road structures and provision security during the course of the project.

Mazar-e-Sharif Municipal Roads (2007) Design and Build 2.8 km asphalt Paved Road Construction in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif. The work included survey and geotechnical investigations, detailed design works, and construction of paved roads along with all drainage structures and sidewalks.

20 Military Construction

Kandahar Flood Protection Works (2008) Construction of earth Bern, concrete Ramps , emergency Evac Road, culverts and placing the fencing, cleaning and reinstating of existing ditches, and installing the sump Pump Pits and Pumps in each underground Banker.

Construction of Two Firing Ranges for Regional Police Training Center Kunduz & Jalalabad (2007) The work included survey and setting out, landscaping of a permanent firing Range, construction of perimeter berms with HESCO baskets and installation of targets.

Construction of Firing Range for Regional Police Training Center Kandahar (2007) The work included survey and setting out, landscaping of a permanent firing Range, construction of perimeter berms with HESCO baskets and installation of targets.

Camp Eggers UPS Upgrade, Kabul (2012) The work included the supply and installation of a new UPS system, housing, fencing, 2 story platform, walkways, stairways, steel structure, underground electrical for 335th Signal Corp Battalion.
