Since fall 2015, crews have been preparing Eglinton Avenue West for construction of Keelesdale and Mount Dennis stations. Construction will begin first on Keelesdale station, located at Eglinton Avenue West and Keele Street, we continue to prepare the Mount Dennis site for construction. We are on track to start constructing in summer 2016.

Utilities Relocation • In early May a large watermain at Eglinton Avenue and Trethewey Drive/Keele Street will be relocated. • The utilitiy work at each intersection is estimated to last two months. Shoring and Decking • An area the size of the station’s footprint (about 130m x 20m - the size of two hockey rinks) will be cut, a shallow area excavated, and steel piles, braces and tie-backs will be installed around the sides to support the excavation. • Once the shoring is installed, the crew may work under the roadway safely, excavating to a depth of about 20m Traffic and Transit Changes for the site of the station box. • From April to September all traffic on Eglinton Avenue • Installing the shoring and decking is estimated to take moves to the two most northern lanes east and about 14 months. westbound. • From April to September all traffic on Keele/Trethewey shifts to the two lanes to the east for north and southbound. • Approximately 25 parking spaces will be removed along Eglinton Avenue. • TTC bus stops (two stops on Keele Street and two on Eglinton Avenue) for bus routes #32 and #41 will be temporarily relocated.
