Please note that the above prices are with hand luggage only and additional costs will be incurred for hold luggage and bicycles. We are however offering a door-to-door bike and luggage transfer service for this trip. Please register your interest by clicking on the form in the Trip Confirmation email.

IMPORTANT: Once you have booked your flights, please ensure you fill out your Flights Form. You can find a link to this in your Trip Confirmation email.

TRAVEL INFORMATION Please ensure that you bring your passport. It is essential that you also obtain travel insurance prior to the trip commencing. Please bring a copy of your insurance certificate with the 24-hour international emergency number on the trip. Your cycle leader will be checking these documents at the airport.

If you still need travel insurance that will definitely cover road cycling and any other events, please check out Yellow Jersey Insurance (and see below for a More Adventure discount).

We also recommend you obtain a European Health Card (www.ehic.org.uk/Internet/home.do) which are free and give you access to free healthcare anywhere in Europe.

BICYCLE INSURANCE We also recommend you take out bicycle insurance for this trip. If you’re looking for reasonably-priced, specialist bicycle insurance, we have teamed up with Yellow Jersey Cycle Insurance. They offer specialist cover for bicycles includes all the standard cover you’d expect but also cover race fee cancellation, crash damage, wheels cover and even theft from inside a vehicle. Use the following code for 5% off: MOREADV5. EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING You will need the following clothing and equipment:

FOR CYCLING TO BE CARRIED ON SUPPORT VEHICLE ● Passport & insurance ● One large rucksack/holdall ● Cycling helmet ● One small ‘grab-bag’ for items that can be ● Cycling shoes accessed at various point during the day ● Fleece/jumper ● Down/insulated jacket ● Cycling shorts ● A change of clothes for the evenings ● Cycling leggings ● Change of cycling shorts/base layer ● Base layer (not cotton) ● Any chargers and adapters for electrical ● Waterproof top items ● Windproof top ● Wash bag ● 2 x water bottles ● Underwear ● 4 x spare inner tubes ● Bicycle lock ● Snacks for cycling ● Chargers/batteries for mobile phones ● Camera ● Karabiner for hanging ‘grab-bag’ in the back ● Sunglasses of the van (optional) ● Sun protection ● Warm hat and gloves

● Saddlebag or small backpack/Camelback for personal items whilst cycling ● Front and rear bicycle lights ● Any medication you require ● Waterproof bag/case for mobile phone/electrical items

All More Adventure staff will be wearing cycling helmets whilst riding and it is essential that all riders wear a cycling helmet. You need the provision to carry a minimum of 1.5 litres of water when cycling. This can be in the form of cycle-mounted bottles or in Camelback-style backpacks.

We recommend you bring clothing that you are comfortable cycling in. This may include (but is not limited to) padded cycling shorts/leggings, a ‘wicking’ t-shirt/long sleeved base layer, and a lightweight waterproof. Please bear in mind that you may be hot whilst in valleys and on the climbs, but descents can be extremely cold due to the mountainous environment. For this reason, we recommend you bring a down/insulated jacket to be carried in the support vehicle in addition to warm hat and gloves. There is a chance we may be arriving into our hotel at dusk or in poor visibility so please bring high-visibility clothing, and front and rear bicycle lights.

There is limited space on the support van so we recommend that you keep clothing and luggage to a minimum. No laundry will be available on this trip.

Please ensure you bring a two-prong EU adapter for any electrical items and chargers you wish to bring. This charger from Anker is excellent and allows for multiple charges. There may be the opportunity to charge small electrical items (phones, mp3’s etc.) on the van whilst cycling. You will need to bring a lead with a USB connector or a 12v cigarette car charger. Please note that due to demand, this facility is subject to availability. Another option could be this battery from Anker.

BICYCLES A road bicycle which you are comfortable riding on for extended periods is essential for this trip.

Please ensure that your bike has received a full, recent service by a reputable bike shop before starting this trip. Please have good quality, reasonably new, puncture-resistant tyres fitted (e.g. Continental Gatorskin, Bontrager Race Hardcase; Schwalbe Marathon Plus). New purchased road bikes tend to have unsuitable slick-style stock tyres, however Wiggle (click HERE) and Chain Reaction Cycles (click HERE) have a comprehensive range of suitable tyres, at exceptionally low prices. It is extremely important that you obtain suitable tyres as punctures can cost the group a lot of time. In the event of a bike failure, maintenance will be carried out by the More Adventure team and we are able to deal with most mechanical problems. In the event of any serious bike failures, the faulty bike will be repaired at a local bike shop, at the participant’s cost.

ROOM SHARE OPTIONS If you haven’t done so already, please advise whether you wish to share a room with a friend/family member who is also booked onto the trip. To check this, please go to your online account (http://www.moreadventure.co.uk/my-account/), click ‘My Bookings’, scroll to your booking, and enter the name of the person you wish to share with in the white Room Share Requests box. If you do not place the name of someone in the Room Share Requests box, or have selected and paid for a single supplement, you will be sharing a twin room with someone that you may not already know from the group - we’ll do our best to find someone suitable!

Please note, if you selected and paid for a single room supplement, we already have this preference on our system and do not require you to complete the above.

FOOD We provide breakfasts and lunches throughout the trip, except breakfast and lunch on Day 1 and lunch on Day 8. Continental-style breakfasts (cereals/toast/croissants/coffee/tea) will be served in the hotel each morning. Lunches will be buffet-style (bread/salad/cheese/ham etc.) and served at a suitable spot during each day. In the evenings we will eat in local restaurants which will be at your own cost. It is a good idea to bring small snacks/energy bars etc for riding days.

Please ensure that we have received any personal dietary requirements and/or food allergies if you haven’t already indicated them on the booking form.
