Background information/context Save the Children has been working in Nepal since 1976 with focused programs on Child Rights governance, Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, Child Poverty and Humanitarian Response and Preparedness through field offices in Bardibaas, and Surkhet. Save the Children, together with partners works to achieve its breakthroughs; Survive, Learn and be protected, and at the same time holds government accountable to protect and fulfil the rights of every child. For this, Save the Children and partners intend to organize a media dialogue (through television and radio) between the rights holders and duty bearers in local level regarding the fulfilments of children’s right to survive, learn, be protected and participation. This consultancy service is expected to contribute to the ongoing television program ‘Mayors with Childre’ to provide a media platform for children to express their concerns/issues during real time interaction with the Mayors/Chairpersons of local government. Objective - Produce and broadcast twelve episodes of TV program ‘Mayors with Children’ in six palikas of Karnali State (two episodes in each Palika) Location and official travel involved: ToR for CR-NEP-CO-2021-27 Page 1 of 4 The Consultant(s) are expected to travel following locations in Karnali state to produce the television episodes. 1. Kushe RM, Jajarkot 2. Chhedagad M, Jajarkot 3. Gurans RM, Dailekh 4. Aathabis Municipality, Dailekh 5. Tilagupha M, Kalikot 6. Subhakalika RM, Kalikot Services the Supplier will provide - Make all necessary arrangements of producing a television program including gathering the equipment, human resources etc. - Coordinate with relevant officials at SCI and partner NGOs for participants and the guests including the Speakers. - Audio-visual recording of the episodes, Editing and finalizing. - Broadcasting of the episodes through national and local television and radio channels Experience and skill set required: • Demonstrated experience of producing audio-visual contents on social/public accountability towards children. • Ability to produce quality work within deadline and under pressure. • Includes adequate equipment and human resources for the assignment. • Possess timeslots in the national and/or local television channels and radio stations. General assumptions and dependencies SCI and partners will identify the key participants to be involved in the interaction event. Likewise, SCI will develop the key questions to be asked to the guest speakers and the location for filming.
