OUR PROGRAM

• Each year students compete for one of 600+ places in the SHAD program

• For the month of July, participants live in residence at one of our host Canadian universities

• Participants come from all across and internationally

• The program focuses on STEM disciplines with exposure to innovation

• Multi-disciplinary approach to learning that broadens understanding SHAD 2016

GIVE US A MONTH – WE’LL SHOW YOU THE FUTURE

What you’ll do in July:

• Live on-campus and experience everything a university campus has to offer

• Attend lectures, workshops, specialized labs, seminars, enjoy recreational activities and more

• Learn from top university faculty, industry experts, influencers

• Push your boundaries and learn to be a leader among leaders with team-based projects

• Visit a location in Canada that you may not have had the opportunity to visit in the past

• Connect with like-minded, exceptional students, many of whom will form your network for life SHAD 2016

THE SHAD ENTREPRENEURSHIP CHALLENGE

You’ll be introduced to entrepreneurial thinking through teamwork and creativity

Each year the SHAD Entrepreneurship Challenge gives hands-on experience creating a STEM-related product or service

You’ll be part of a high-performing team tackling a significant problem based on a theme, and creating a solution to address it

You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the SHAD Entrepreneurship Cup in October 2016

VOLUNTEER INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

For the month of August, new SHADs can compete to be linked with one of SHAD’s partner companies to do a volunteer internship

Internships provide real-world experience and an opportunity to apply learnings from the July session

Grades 10, 11 or 12 students •

Program is available to all qualified • students

• Fees are subsidized by SHAD for all Canadian students

• Scholarships are awarded based on strength of application
