Bombing and Violence Incidents Report in the Period 24 -30 April A Bombing and violence incidents report in the period 24th -30th April A relative reduction of the violence incidents and the high rates in Sinai is continued Production The bombing and violence incidents rates were witnessed this week were reduced in a minor way, despite the great threats from the terrorist elements to respond the judicial judgments against a number of its supporters, in this frame work the Parliamentary elections Observatory affiliated to the Local –International Joint Mission- Egypt 2015, is continue its monitoring all this incidents and analysis its indications and potential effects to the electoral process, and the democratic transformation process in Egypt, this is the 17th report has been issued in this series. The most significant violence and bombing incidents Friday, 24th April An explosive device exploded inside explosives warehouse inside a poultry farm in Sanur village of Bepa Center for in Bani Suef, the explosion resulted in killing 5 terrorists and injuring another, the bodies and the injured were transferred to the general hospital in Bani Suef, an automatic weapon and explosives manufacturing materials were found in the explosion site, a report of the incident was filed and the prosecution was notified to take over the investigation. A small IEd exploded in the vicinity if Al Fayoum court complex, in ront of the prosecution member's rest house, there were no injuries, civil protection forces and explosives experts moved to the site and found another similar device and defused it, a report of the incident was filed and the prosecution was notified to take over the investigation. A sound bomb exploded in El Sa'aa Sq in the middle of Qena city, there were no injuries, security apparatus moved to the site and imposed a security cordon the vicinity of the area in anticipation of the existence o any other explosive, the explosives experts defused two other explosive devices in the explosion vicinity, a report of the incident was filed and the prosecution was notified to take over the investigation. Unknown assailants exploded an electricity tower in Kafr Mahfouz village of Tamya center, Fayoum governorate, they planted it next to the tower, the civil protection forces and the explosive experts moved to the site , and by combing the explosion area a second explosive device was found it was un exploded and it was handled and exploded by the explosive experts . An explosive device exploded in a motorcycle and its rider, in Sanan St in El Zytoun area, Cairo governorate, the rider was killed by his injuries, all legal procedures were taken, a report of the incident was filed and the prosecution was notified to take over the investigation, while the security forces found and defused another two bombs. An explosive device exploded down a bridge in El Mattarya area, Cairo governorate, the civil protection forces and the explosive experts moved to the site, and imposed a security cordon, and combed the vicinity of the area searching for any other explosives. Three homemade bombs exploded in the tramway line in El Mattarya area, down El Helmeya bridge, Cairo governorate, the explosion resulted in injuring two children and they were transferred to El Helmeya hospital to receive the require aids, the police forces closed the leading way to the bridge and combed the area to ensure it was free of any other 2 explosives, where the forces defused another explosive device in the vicinity if the explosion. Dozens of MBs fired fireworks in the vicinity of Al Rahman mosque in El Mattarya in a middle of slogans against army and police, when three of the central security vehicle and a number of armors arrived to the vicinity of the mosque the MBs fled to the side streets, and the demonstration was dispersed . An explosive device exploded in banzayoun area in the middle of Qena city, it did not result any human losses, the explosives experts moved to the site and imposed a security cordon in the vicinity of the explosion to prevent citizens from getting in the explosion site, the area was also combed to ensure that it was free of any other explosive. Terrorists exploded three gas lines feeding the LPG cylinder factory between Alexandria and Kafr El Dawar, there were no injuries due to the absence of pumping gas at this time, the civil protection forces and the explosive experts moved to the site and combed the area to ensure it was free from any other explosives. Air Force launched an offensive against the terrorist strongholds of Ansar al-Bayt al- the terrorist organization, in south El Sheikh zuied's all villages, in North Sinai governorate, where Apache helicopters bombed number of terrorists' strongholds, which resulted in killing not less than 10 persons from the organization, and injuring 25 others with serious injuries, and destroying a number of cars were using in the attacks against army forces and police. The security apparatus in Cairo governorate found a homemade bomb on the tramway tracksnear El Mattarya Sq and ELhemyah bridge, the explosive experts defused it, and a report of the incident was filed , also the prosecution was notified to take over the investigation. A recruit in the armed forces was injured in an attack of terrorist elements on Nalhl military centralized, in the middle of Sinai, where a violent clashes occurred between armed elements riding 4x4 cars and the centralized military forces in E lNakhal ambush, the forces responded and chased them until the fled. Unknown gunmen attacked two churches in Abshway city and Nazla village of Yousef Al Sedeik center, fayoum governorate, the security forces assigned to secure the churches responded and exchanged firing with the terrorist elements, without any injuries, a criminal search team was formed to arrest the attackers. The explosives experts in civil protection department in Fayoum governorate dismantled two explosive devices, they were planted next to the rest house of ayoun Court' judges, across the street of the court building , a report of the incident was filed, and the prosecution was notified to take over the investigation. A homemade bomb exploded near the water station in Etsa city, Fayoum governorate, the explosion did not resulted in any injuries, the explosives experts moved to the site and imposed a security cordon and combed the area to ensure it was free of any other explosives. 3 An explosive device exploded in a military vehicle's road in Rafah, North Sinai governorate, without any injuries, the forces combed the area to ensure it was free of any other explosives. The security apparatus in Minyat Al Kamh police center, Sharkia governorate, dispersed a march for a number of MBs near the Christians tombs to denounce the verdict against the isolated President Mohamed Morsi, and they were holding Molotov cocktail bottles whish fell on a gricultural land in Kafr Chalchalmon, and burned a part of the wheat crop. Saturday 25 April A security forces from explosives department of Damietta security directorate thwarted an attempt to explode a bomb in on the top of El Hawees bridge in Damietta city, it was planted by unknown assailants in the road leading to Ras El Bar, a criminal search team was formed to comb the area and arrest the attackers. Unknown assailants exploded a 220 thousand volts electric tower, in (Kar Mahfouz- Tameya) road in Fayoum governorate, by palnting explosive devices under its bases and exploded them by remote control, 2hich led to the collapse o the tower, the police forces and explosives experts moved to the site and examine it. The explosive experts and civil protection officers in Aswan governorate managed to explode 5 stun grenades were planted under high pressure towers in western desert road near by Faris village of Kom Ombo by unknown assailants, there were also three other devices were defused by water hoses, there were no injuries or life losses or material damages. A stun grenade exploded in the eastern wall of Al Tahrer police station in Kema of Aswan second department, which led to cracking the altar of the small mosque annex to the police station, and some damages in glasses and doors of some residential units in the vicinity of the police station, there were no injuries, the explosives experts combed the area in the vicinity of the police station and did not find any other bombs. A stun grenade exploded in the vicinity of Helwan district presidency office, the explosion caused a state of terror and panic among citizens, the explosives experts and civil protection forces moved to the site and combed the area to ensure it was free of any other explosives, and no explosives were found. The explosives experts in Damietta governorate dismantled a structure device, it was a j juice bottle connected to a battery, wires and installed on a piece of wood and thrown in the Nile river in the dam area, by unknown assailants, the forces also combed the area to ensure it was free of any other explosives. The explosive experts in North Sinai governorate dismantled an IED, in the middle of Be'r El Abed I n front of Misr Bank, where the area was evacuated from the pedestrians, and exploded the device by bullets, without any losses or injuries, the orces also combed the area to ensure it was free from any other explosives. A citizen called " Ahmed Mohammed " 27 years old from Al Qareen village, Sharkia governorate, was killed by unknown bullets, on the international road Arish- El Sheikh Zuied, Al Kharouba area, North Sinai governorate, the concerning bodies were notified to investigate the incident. 4 A recruit was injured by unknown gunshot in his leg during his service in a security ambush in the middle of Sinai, he was transferred for treatment , the forces also combed the area to detect any of the incident circumstances and arrest the offenders.

This governorate occupies the twentieth place for the productivity of this crop in Egypt. The research aimed to identify the most important production and marketing problems facing olive farmers in North Sinai Governorate. Research data were collected through personal interviewing questionnaire with 100 respondents representing 25% of the total olive farmers at Meriah village from October to December 2015. Results: Results showed that there are many production and marketing problems faced by farmers. The most frequent of the production problems were the problem of increasing fertilizer prices (64% of the surveyed farmers), and the problem of irrigation water high salinity (52% of the respondents). Where the majority of the respondents mentioned that these problems are the most important productive problems they are facing, followed by problems of poor level of extension services (48%), high cost of irrigation wells (47%), difficulty in owning land (46%), and lack of agricultural mechanization (39%), while the most important marketing problems were the problem of the exploitation of traders (62%), the absence of agricultural marketing extension (59%), the high prices of trained labor to collect the crop (59%), and lack of olive presses present in the area (57%).

Box 97, Amado, AZ 85645, USA ABSTRACT This study compares the external dose due to the y-ray emitting radionuclides in various areas in north Sinai, Egypt. The whole area was divided into 10 regions. The average absorbed dose rates were evaluated for each region. It was found that Zaranik protected area and Al-Massaid have the highest values of 69.0 and S4.7 nGy h"1, respectively. The corresponding values of the remaining regions were below 21 nGy h"1. The mean annual effective dose equivalent for the four largest cities Rafah, El-Sheikh Zuwaied, Al-Arish and Bir El-Abd were 20.7,16.1,53.4 and 13.9 jiSv. That is one individual at risk due to the radiation exposure of naturally occurring radionuclides in 50.8, 84.7, 8.7 and 85.3 years -for these cities, respectively. The results are compared with those from different areas in Egypt and in various countries.
