Lois Liberman has extensive experience advising clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law. She is a seasoned litigator and trial attorney, and has been a frequent guest on television having appeared multiple times on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Good Day New York, Extra, and Entertainment Tonight. She is frequently consulted to comment on family law matters pertaining to prominent and high-net-worth people and appears often in the celebrity press including People magazine, The Huffington Post, the New York Post, More magazine, and the online sites for E!, MTV, Business Insider, NBC News, and Fox News.

Lois represented a litigant in the first reported same-sex divorce case in New York State, C.C. vs. M.C., 21 Misc. 3d 926, 867 N.Y.S.2d 884, 2008 N.Y.Misc. LEXIS 6011, 2008 NY Slip Op 28398, 401 N.Y.L.J. 81 (2008).

Lois is an active member of the New York County Women’s Bar Association and has served as co-chair of the Judiciary Committee and Matrimonial & Family Law Committee. She is also an appointed member of the Interdisciplinary Forum on

Mental Health and Family Law, a group of lawyers, judges, and mental health professionals who meet monthly to discuss issues of mental health and family law. Lois has lectured for the Association of Divorce Financial Planners and various New York Bar Associations in the areas of prenuptial and separation agreements, as well as custody matters.

She co-chaired the firm’s Summer Associate Program and has also served on the Partner Nominating Committee, Women’s Steering Committee, Diversity Committee, and Technology Committee. Lois is a member of the Women’s Forum whose mission is to enhance the professional and business development of the firm’s female attorneys and professionals and foster the success of our strong community of women.

Lois has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in Family Law by New York Super Lawyers—Metro Edition from 2010 to 2017. She has for many years received the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
