Driving Directions to NAB Driving Directions to NAB The National Association of Broadcasters is located at 1771 N Street, NW, Washington, DC 20036 From Points North: Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway (I-95/I-495 South) towards Annapolis Richmond to Route 50 West (Washington). Follow Route 50 West, and it will become New York Avenue. Stay on New York Avenue until you join Massachusetts Avenue near 7th Street. Continue on Massachusetts Avenue, through the tunnel (under Thomas Circle). Then go through the next circle (Scott Circle) continuing on Massachusetts Avenue. Two blocks after Scott Circle, make a left onto 18th Street. Go one block and turn left onto N Street. The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) building will be on your left at 1771 N St, NW. From Points South: Take I-95 North to I-395 North to the 14th Street Bridge. As the lanes split, follow signs to Route 1 North / 14th Street as you are crossing the bridge. Route 1 becomes 14th Street. Continue on 14th Street until you get to I Street. Turn left onto I Street. Turn right onto 18th Street. After you cross M Street stay to your right and cross straight over a large intersection (Connecticut Avenue). Stay to the right, and you will come to a small intersection (N Street). Turn right onto N Street. The National Association of Broadcasters building is on the corner of 18th street and N Street. The address is 1771 N Street, NW. From Points East: Follow Route 50 West and it will become New York Avenue. Stay on New York Avenue until you join Massachusetts Avenue. This will happen near 7th Street. Continue on Massachusetts Avenue. Follow Massachusetts through the tunnel (under Thomas Circle). Then go through the next circle (Scott Circle), continuing on Massachusetts Avenue. Two blocks after Scott Circle, make a left onto 18th Street. Go one block and turn left onto N Street. From Points West: Take Route 66 East and cross over the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. Stay in the left lane, and take the "E" Street exit. Follow all signs for E Street. The Freeway will come to an end at a stop light - 20th Street. Stay on E Street until you come to 18th Street. Take left on 18th Street. After you cross M Street, stay to your right. You will cross straight over a large intersection (Connecticut Avenue). Stay to the right, and turn right onto N Street. NAB headquarters will be on the left side of the street at 1771 N St, NW. Driving Directions from Washington, DC Airports From Reagan National Airport (DCA): Reagan National Airport is five miles (15 minutes) from NAB. From the airport, continue towards Washington. Merge onto the highway. Continue on the George Washington Memorial Parkway North. Merge onto I- 395N/US-1 N towards Washington. Keep left to take US-1N viz Exit 1 towards the National Mall. Stay straight to go onto 14th St NW. Turn left onto Us-29/K St NW. Turn right onto K St. NW. Turn left to stay on K St. NW. Take the 2nd right onto Connecticut Ave NW. Turn slight right onto 18th St. NW. Take the 1st right onto N St NW. NAB is on the left at 1771 N St NW. From Dulles International Airport (IAD): Dulles International Airport is 25 miles (45 minutes) from the airport take VA-263 East to I-66 East. Take the Independence Ave exit Stay straight to go onto US-50E Turn left onto 17th St. NW. 17th St NW becomes Connecticut Ave NW Turn slight right onto 18th St. NW. Take the 1st right onto N St. NW. NAB is on the left at 1771 N St NW. From BWI Airport (BWI): From Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI) Baltimore-Washington International Airport is 45 miles (1 hour) form NAB. From the airport, continue on I-95 West. Take the Baltimore / Washington Parkway / MD-295 South exit towards Washington, exit #2B. Merge onto MD-295 South. Take the US-50 West exit towards Washington. Continue on US-1Alt South / US-50 West. Continue on New York Avenue NW. Bear right on Mt. Vernon Place NW. Continue on Massachusetts Avenue NW, going through 1 roundabout. Turn left onto 18th St. NW. Take the 1st left onto N St. NW. NAB is on the left at 1771 N St NW. .

Last year, your Fair Shot budget made critical investments essential to Ward 5 residents such as supporting $20 million in funding for a new Lamond-Riggs library; $500,000 for new Main Streets and Clean Teams along South Dakota/Riggs Road and Bladensburg; and $300,000 for the design and creation of a statue of native Washingtonian and civil rights leader, Charles Hamilton Houston. Our Ward 5 FY20 budget is about making the District equitable and inclusive for all. From investing in affordable housing to keep residents in their homes to expanding behavioral health and trauma informed services, together, our Ward 5 FY20 budget requests moves the District towards real achievable and equitable results. Further, our Ward 5 budget represents feedback gathered from residents during my Ward 5 Budget Engagement Forum, and consideration of over 300 hours of Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) and civic association meetings. 1.     Living in Washington, D.C. Embassies photo THE EMBASSY PRESENCE IN WASHINGTON, D.C. Priscilla R. Linn May 29, 2014 Finding embassies on a map of Washington, D.C. is a relatively straightforward task. They lie in northwest quadrant of one of the smallest capitals in the world, often lining up along (or close to) the avenues that city planner Pierre L’Enfant drew up over 200 years ago. Other locations in Washington, D.C. could, in principle, welcome many foreign missions. Reasons for the concentration of embassies in Washington hinge on the need to be close to the White House, U.S. Department of State, Congress, and international organizations. Embassies also desire a location in a prestigious neighborhood that can enhance both national identity and standing among nations in the international community. Essential diplomatic terms Since diplomacy often requires a specific vocabulary, this essay will clarify the meaning of several words used here. The Diplomat’s Dictionary defines the word “embassy” as: “The residence of an ambassador.” The Dictionary states that in loose, contemporary usage, the word “embassy” also refers to the office building of the ambassador and his senior staff. Later, its proximity to Howard University brought well-heeled African American families.
