Rick has been racing ever since his teen years and this experience has paid off on the ALL PRO tour. Twice he's been runner-up in the race for the National title and in '89 was only five points short. The '89 championship race was the most dramatic in ALL PRO history between Rick and titlest . Nemechek held the lead going into the season finale, the presitigous "Snowball Derby." Rick scored the biggest win of his career that day but was a mere five points short of the championship. Rick is one of the most popular drivers on the circuit with the fans and the seasoned veteran is a threat to win at any track.

**************************************************************** #77 TED HODGDON, Fayetteville,

Ted is another newcomer to NASCAR competition. He raced for many years at central Florida race tracks before deciding to join a touring series in 1989. Over the past two years he participated in 23 AACS events, finishing 27th in points in '89 and then cracking the top ten with an eighth place finish in '90. In those 23 events he posted two top five and five top ten finishes. Hodgdon moved from Daytona Beach, FI. to Fayetteville, N.C. during 1990 and when not racing stays very busy with his airplane business. An avid flyer, Hodgdon enjoys getting into the wild blue yonder to get away from the hectic traffic and hustle on the ground. Hodgdon employs Sam Camp, one of the best crew chiefs involved with late model cars in NASCAR. Camp has been in the stables of Tim Nooner, 1987 AACS Rookie Of The Year and Bruce Stone and helped both to top ten end of year point positions. Ted is gaining more experience with each year of racing and could very well visit the Winston All Pro victory lane in 1991.

#37 LARRY RAINES, Cummings, GA

Larry is a veteran racer and has competed in ALL PRO since its inception in 1980. Larry's business interests forced him to cut back on his racing to a degree but in 1990, he was able to return in force, finishing fifth in the final 1990 standings. He is a top competitor whenever and wherever he competes as his record will indicate. He won the 'unofficial' ALL PRO Rookie of the Year title in 1983 and during the time he had 'cut back' on his racing, he won the "Big 10" series championship. Not bad for a part-timer. Definitely a front runner and you'll be able to spot him right in the midst of the lead pack.

#31 LEE FAULK, Crossville, Tennessee

Lee has been a consistent competitor with NASCAR since starting with the Winston All-American Challenge Series in 1988.He started his racing career on the short-tracks of Florida in 1971 and has won several events in his homestate. Was track champion in 1986 at Orlando Speedworld. Competed in selected Busch Grand National races in 1988 while competing full-time with the MCS. He was named 1988 Texas Pete Sauces Rookie Of The Yearwith the AACS and in that year won his first NASCAR touring event at Greenville-Pickens Speedway, Greenville, S.C. Faulk finished fifth in series points in '88 while in '89 he slipped to ninth. In 1990 he recorded five top five and seven top ten finishes on his way to a seventh place final standing.Faulk is one of the toughest short-track drivers in the south and is always a threat to stop in victory lane in any race.

#28 BILLY BIGLEY, JR., Naples, FL

Billy is a veteran of the ALL PRO ranks and was the '86 Rookie of the Year. He has become one of the top competitors on the circuit and you'll find him always at the front of the pack. Lady Luck has not been kind to Billy as far as getting into the winner's circle but he's been so close, as he says, "I've scared it to death." It's only a matter of time before he scores that elusive first win. Racing is definitely a family sport for the Bigleys and the 'Poor Boy Racing Team' includes Billy's wife Kim, daughter Tiffani, Mom, Dad, and as Billy says, "any other cousin, 'in-law' or 'out-law' we need.

NWAPS 13 #25 , Clearwater, Florida

Intense and determined would describe this second year NASCAR driver who hails from Clearwater, FL. Mike Cope comes from a racing family as big brother Jimmy has made a name for himself throughout the state of Florida. In 1990, Mike made a name for himself in NASCAR racing circles by winning such pole awards at Florence 1-95 Speedway and his hometrack of Sunshine Speedway and he garnered his first NASCAR win in an AACS event at Nashville Motor Raceway. Cope has been given excellent equipment to drive by car owner Ralph Bowser and his Eagles Nest Racing team and together they recorded two poles, one win, three top five and seven top ten finishes on their way to a sixth place in the year end point standings. Cope battled all year in his quest to win the Texas Pete Sauces rookie title and with two races remaining trailed Keller by 13 points. However, a poor finish in that next to last race prevented him from winning that honor. Only one time in '90 was Cope caught speechless among his peers and that happened when he was honored as the most popular series driver at the annual awards banquet. Cope was also honored by NASCAR for his racing performance in two end of year events at Sunshine Speedway by being named the NASCAR Armour Canned Meats Driver Of The Week. The Eagles Nest Racing Team will be a force to be reckoned with in '91, after their fourth place finish in the inaugural NASCAR Winston All Pro Series event, as they go after that coveted NASCAR championship diamond ring. ****************************************************************

#5 CLAY BROWN, Pensacola, FL

There's an old saying, 'close but no cigar'. This should probably be Clay Brown's motto. Clay has been one of the top competitors since he came on the scene in 1988. That year he won the ALL PRO Rookie of the Year title and finished in the top five in the final standings. In 1989 he very nearly won the ALL PRO championship. Only a number of seemingly minor maladies which cropped up at the most inopportune times, kept him from the title, as it has so far kept him out of victory lane. He had led nearly every race he's entered and it's only a matter of time before he breaks the 'jinx' and gets that first win, which will be followed by many many more.

****************************************************************

#85 MIKE RAMY, Douglasville, Ga.

Mike Ramy is another newcomer to oval track stock car racing. Racing is IIIOtnew to this Georgia driver because he had an outstanding motorcycle career before he settled into his own business in Douglasville. Mike toured with the American Motorcycle National Circuit from 1970 to 1974 and in '72 - '73 was the Georgia Flat Track Open Class Champion.Mike is the first to admit there is a difference between a two-wheeled racer and a four-wheel racer, especially in the amount of room a driver has when passing a competitor on the track. He says his stock car is just a tad wider than his motorcycle!! Mike is ably assisted by his wife, Dianne, who makes a great addition to any pit crew. The Precision Epoxy Products team had one top ten finish in '90 on their way to a 14th place in series points. In the initial NASCAR Winston All Pro event, Mike finished 24th.

**************************************************************** #72 JOHNNY COCHRAN, Oak Hills, Florida

Johnny has been another NASCAR regular over the past two years after competing at tracks throughout central Florida since 1972. His enthusiasm for racing has also gotten his wife and son involved in racing with Duane now an established mini-stock driver in his home state. During the 1990 AACS season Johnny was hospitalized with kidney stones and while he was in the hospital his wife, without telling her husband, entered her first powder puff derby event and won. Needless to say she told him about the race after the fact. Wonder if she would have told him if she hadn't won!! This family, along with relatives, has supported the Challenge Series very well and like many racers did it without any major sponsorship. In 1990, Cochran finished 12th in AACS points and recorded three top ten completions. This team will not be able to compete on a regular basis in '91 unless they are able to find some sponsorship.

#78 GARY BRADBERRY, Chelsea, AL

Gary began his racing career at the ripe old age of 12 when he started racinq go-karts. He competed in the World Karting Assn. for a while and then 'graduated to mini-modifieds. When Gary moved into the Late Model Stock Cars, he was a seasoned veteran and his experience shows up in his smooth style and consistent high finishes. Gary has always been a 'student' of the sport and strives to add to his considerable knowledge every time he competes. He is definitely a driver to watch and will always be a top contender.

#4 , Venice, FL

Bobby is one of the most intense competitors you'll find anywhere and his record will bear this out. Bobby was the KISS Series champion in 1985 and the 1987 ALL PRO Rookie of the Year. Racing is a family sport for Bobby as his father Billy was one of the winningest drivers ever to compete on the short tracks of Florida. It should suffice to say 'like father like son' as Bobby has always been a top racer and is a threat to win any where he races. One of Bobby's biggest triumphs came when he won the prestigious "World Cup 400" at 1-70 Speedway in Odessa,MO in 1990.

#32 RANDY PORTER, Greenville, South Carolina

This young lion from Greenville, S.C. brought a new team to the NASCAR AACS in 1990 and had, except for one race, an outstanding year. That event, the next to last race of the year with a 20th place finish, cost him 76 championship points and narrowed the series point lead between himself and Mike Garvey to only three points going into the final event. Garvey finished one position ahead of Porter in the final race to earn a hard fought points battle and the title of champion. But Porter is a fighter and he will return to the Winston All Pro Series with the same team and a new sponsor to once again challenge for his first NASCAR title. Porter competed in 49 NASCAR AACS events over the years and has recorded seven Busch poles, six wins, 20 top five and 28 top ten finishes. He stands sixth in money won with the AACS with over $67,000. His new sponsor in 1991 will support 22 races with the Winston All Pro Series. In addition to these races, Porter plans to enter five Busch Grand National races with his own car which will keep the Porter family very busy. His NWAPS cars are owned by Robert Chafin and along with Frank Moon are immacualte in appearance and very competitive. What Porter lost in 1990 could very well be found in 1991 as he finished sixth in the inaugural NASCAR Winston All Pro event.

Scotty began his racing career in 1969 and since that time has competed in a wide variety of cars on all types of race tracks. From the dirt tracks around his North Alabama home to the high-banks of Odessa, Nashville and Bristol. Scotty is probably one of the last of what has become a rare breed in big-time stock car racing. He is strictly independent and races, as he well puts it, 'out of his back pocket'. He is a master strategist at calculating where he needs to run to make his efforts payoff. He's done well on the ALL PRO tour and is one of it's most loyal supporters .

The adage, 'We've Come A Long Way Together Baby" would certainly apply to this young lion from Conyers, Ga. Ron Young grew up in a racing family with a father involved in drag racing. He wasted little time starting in fast company because his first race was an All-American Challenge Series event at Lanier Raceway in 1988 where he finisthed an astounding fourth and on the lead lap. He competed in seven more events during '88 and ended the year 16th in series points. He improved on that first year by climbing to 8th in the final '89 series point standings and then in '90 he continued his climb to finish third in series points. This team has worked hard and Ron has learned well in the past three years. He won his first Busch pole award in NASCAR at Nashville Motor Raceway in 1990 and in three years had nine top five and 19 top ten finishes in 36 starts. He-demonstrated much determination and an aggressive driving style over the past three years, however, mechanical problems have prevented him from a stronger record. He will continue to gain experience with the new NASCAR Winston All Pro Series in 1991 then pursue a Busch Grand National and Winston Cup racing career. NWAPS 17 #7 MIKE GARVEY, Louisville, Ky.

Garvey began his racing career in 1980, in his home state of Michigan: and has competed on both dirt and asphalt tracks over the past ten years. Employment with Port City Race Cars brought Garvey and car owner John Arnold together in 1988 for the first time when Arnold wanted to start building race cars in his race shop in Brooks, Ky. In two years of NASCAR competition, this driver has established a phenominal record. He finished second in All-American Challenge Series points in 1989 and won Texas Pete Sauces Rookie honors going away. He also won an All Pro event during that year. In 1990 he came back to win the series championship, by only three points, over Randy Porter in the closest points battle that series experienced in seven years. For his two years in NASCAR he has recorded three victories, two Busch poles, 20 top five and 26 top ten finishes in 30 starts. Also in those two years he completed 4566 laps out of 4793 run for an outstanding 95.3% laps completion rate. He ranked fifth in the history of the AACS with winnings of over $67,200. In the initial NASCAR Winston All Pro Series event on March 24 at Five Flags Speedway, Garvey was among the leaders throughout the race and eventually finished tenth. Watch this driver because when the checkered flag falls on the final race of the year he will be one of the series leaders.

**************************************************************** #21 SAMMY PEGRAM, Dunwoody, Ga.

This second year driver suffered the sophomore jinx with the Winston All American Challenge Series in 1990. Engine problems and being in the wrong place at the wrong time kept this talented young driver from better than a 15th place series points finish. For some competitors they would consider his year an outstanding year but for Pegram it was a frustrating year. He did however manage two important accomplishments that should be noted. Pegram did win his first NASCAR touring event with the AACS and that came at . He also recorded two Busch poles during the year, one at DeSoto Speedway and the second at Summerville Speedway which tied him with three other drivers for the most Busch poles during the year. More importantly he recorded three second fastest qualifier runs which earned him the end of year Busch pole qualifier award of $2,000 from Anheuser-Busch, Inc. Pegram did have one top five and three top ten finishes on his way to a 15th in series points for 1990. In the initial NASCAR Winston All Pro Series event he finished 16th

#41 JEFF WILLIAM,S, Inverness, Florida

Jeff Williams likes to race and he demonstrated that in his first year of NASCAR racing in 1990 with his top ten finish in series points. Williams made every race durinq the year except the long haul to Rockford, II. and through the hard work of his volunteer crew was able to make the top ten. There is no doubt this team enjoys themselves wherever they travel. Happy go-lucky would certainly describe this merry band of troubadours. Although Jeff did not record any top five finishes he did have three top ten completions, three 11 th place finishes and other top 20 runs to finish just five points ahead of Duane Burrows for his position. He looks forward to the new series and the outstanding competition that will make for some close racing.

#7 EDDIE HANKS, Memphis, TN

Some folks fish, some play golf and some even just go to movies to relax. Not Eddie Hanks. Eddie enjoys hurtling a 3000 pound stock car around the speedway at break-neck speeds to relax. He has always enjoyed recing, even when he operated his very successful Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants, from which he has since 'retired'. Eddie says that racing lets him 'unwind' and he has gotten to unwind quite a bit on the ALL PRO tour. Racing is a family sport as far as Eddie is concerned and it is noticeable in his 'sponsor', E.S.R. Racing. Eddie, wife Sue and their son Rob are familiar faces at the track and they obviously enjoy every minute of it.

18 NWAPS #44 DUANE BURROWS, Venice, Florida

Duane Burrows joined the ranks of touring series NASCAR drivers in 1989 after competing regularly at DeSoto Speedway, a Winston Racing Series facility. He fielded two cars on the series in '89 with Jo Jo Rice and himself as drivers then reduced that to just one car for the 1990 season. The D. Burrows Trucking Team is another close knit family organization that found the competition to their liking with the AACS. In 1989 Duane's car won Best Appearing entry in the National Short-Track Championship at in Rockford, II. and then finished 27th after his engine broke during the race. He finished 13th in series points in '89 with two top ten completions. 1990 was a better year for his racing program climbing to an 11th place finish also with two top tens. Burrows was honored at the year end awards banquet for his 199.0 accomplishments and shared Most Improved 1990 Driver honors with Jeff Williams. When not racing Duane heads up the largest independent sand & gravel business on the gold coast of Florida from their shops in Venice, FL. This family enjoys the sport of racing so much they have become involved with a new racing facility near Punta Gorda, FI. With all their business ventures, they will continue to support this new series in 1991. ****************************************************************

#93 JUNIOR NIEDECKEN, Pensacola, FL

Junior has made quite a name for himself in late model racing and is one of the most respected competitors in the business. His knowledge of the intricacies of the car is matched by few. Junior cut his teeth on race cars as his dad, Wayne Sr. made an indelible mark on racing across the Southern part of the country. Junior never missed a beat following his dad's footsteps as he began a winning career of his own. Along the way Junior has won numerous track titles as well as two NASCAR Grand American National championships. He's one of the best in the business and you can be assured that when the pay-off lap comes around, he'll be right in the hunt.

NWAPS 29 #49 STANLEY SMITH, Chelsea, Alabama

Perseverance and patience certainly describe this longtime short-track driver from Alabama. Not only has Stanley Smith had time to develop a very successful drywall business but he has also continued to build a very successful racing enterprise that has landed him in Winston Cup among the giants of stock car racing. Smith competed with NASCAR and All Pro over the past seven years with most of his concentration toward NASCAR. Through his first four years with NASCAR he finished second in four races and never visited victory lane. He was, however, in the top 10 four times in the end of year point standings. After .15 years in racing his life changed in 1988. He won his first NASCAR race and also his first pole award that year. In 1989 he took home all the marbles by winning the series championship with four wins, three poles, was second in laps led and an excellent 97.1 % laps completed percentage. Because of that championship and the hard work of son Brett, Smith was able to land national sponsorship with Interstate Batteries of Dallas, Tx. That sponsorship carried him through the '90 AACS season and allowed him to start one Winston Cup event. For '91 the Interstate Batteries Winston Cup team will enter 15 events and then run a full schedule in 1992. Smith ended 1990 fifth in AACS points with five top five and seven top ten finishes. He will compete at selected NWAPS events in 1991. Many people want to forget that "Life Begins at Forty", but not Stanley Smith. His dreams of reaching the bigtime in stock car racing have been fulfilled and his success should be a challenge to all to never give up. Anyone can succeed if they put. their mind to it, it only takes hard work, perseverance and patience!! Watch for #49 in selected Winston Cup and NWAPS events during 1991. ****************************************************************

#99 CHARLIE STOKES, Jacksonville, FL

Charlie is one of the young lions to watch in 1991 as he pursues the Texas Pete Sauces Rookie of the Year title. He's made a name for himself in and around his north Florida home on both dirt and paved tracks. His operation is a family business as is his and his father's livelihood, which, as he says allows him to go racing. "Mom and Delores stay home and hold down the fort which lets my dad and I chase these races. We're going to make as strong a run as possible at the Rookie of the Year trophy." Charlie is one to keep your eye on.

#57 JASON KELLER, Greenville, South Carolina

Jason Keller turned many heads during his first year of NASCAR asphalt racing. His equipment, aggressiveness and driving ability always put him near the top in every AACS event during the 1990 campaign but his maligned friend known as the "gorilla" seemed to always be at his side. Keller had seven top five and nine top ten finishes during the year but managed only one Busch pole and no wins in 14 starts. On two different occasions he was leading races, however, mechanical problems prevented him from being around at the checkered flag. Even though he didn't visit victory lane during the year he did take home the prize that he chased all year. He won a close battle over Mike Cope and eight other competitors for the Texas Pete Sauces Rookie Of The Year title which will earn him $200 per event with the NWAPS in 1991. Keller was also honored by NASCAR after the final race of the season, as the NASCAR Armour Canned Meats Driver of the Week, for consistent performance in the final two events of the AACS season which earned for him a fourth in points and the rookie title. Another close family in racing with dad, mom and his sister involved, Jason spends all his spare time at his race shop when not pursuing his college degree at Clemson University. Jason Keller has a great future in racing and could become a top contender for the championship of this new NASCAR Division .

#69 SIDNEY MINTON, Memphis, TN

"Super Sid" Minton will go down in the record books as the most consistent competitor in ALL PRO Racing's history. He has completed more ALL PRO laps (nearly 30,000) than any other driver, and has started the most events. Sidney never has had the tuxury of a major sponsor but with the help of MANY small sponsorships and his wife Diane, along with crew chief Calvin Gatewood, who by the way received the 1990 "Ronnie Strickland Memorial Fel-Pro Mechanic of the Year" award, has established this now unbreakable record. His determination and persistence has made him very popular on the circuit and one of these days, it should come as no surprise to find "Super Sid" in victory lane.

'30NWAPS #27 JAMES TRAMMEL, Lawrenceville, Ga.

Another of the many dirt track racers who has switched to asphalt racing. 1990 was his first full year with a NASCAR touring series and James used his 13 races as a learning situ~on. Their racing operation is family orientated just as their drywall business which keeps the Trammel household very busy in the Atlanta area. This team missed only the event at Rockford, II. in '90, however, he was not able to record a top five or top ten finish during the year. James did finish 13th in series points. He qualified for the initial NASCAR Winston All Pro event and recorded a 22nd place finish in the 40 car field. This team does not lack for desire or a willingness to learn and that enthusiasm should help carry them through the 1991 racing season.
