This part of the course means that students have to perform a short presentation on a topic of their choice and answer a variety of questions from their audience. They receive a Pass, Merit or Distinction for this and it will be printed on their exam grades slip on results day as well as their certificates when they finally finish the course. The grade in no way affects their final result, it is a separate mark. As always, the students rose to the challenge and this year we saw presentations ranging from working teenagers, terror attacks, video games in the Olympics, to the discrimination of women. Anyone who missed this day or didn’t get the chance to perform on the day will have further opportunities to do this with their class teacher at appropriate and convenient times.
