 If you get married abroad, you must inform the municipality (copy of marriage certificate).  If the name on your passport/ID card is changed after you are married, your permit also needs to be changed.  Surselva Regional Court (certificates of inheritance, divorce petitions etc.)

 Any new company formed must be registered with the municipality.  You also need to advise the municipality of any company take-over.  Applications for consent for any business in the hospitality sector also need to be submitted to the municipality.  You can only cancel your health insurance from the date of a planned relocation with the confirmation of the municipality. Retired persons should please note: If you have a pension in Switzerland, you need to continue to have health insurance in Switzerland.
