THE LITTLE GIANTS WABASH ATHLETICS CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM SPORTS.WABASH.EDU/PARTNER 1 Greetings from Wabash College Athletics and Campus Wellness! It is my pleasure to introduce the various partnership opportunities available for the 2019-20 academic year. The corporate partnership program, now in its second year, connects local and regional businesses, Wabash alumni, and community organizations with the educational mission of the College through our varsity athletic and campus wellness programs. The athletics and wellness program plays an integral role in the daily experience of the Wabash community. Athletics is especially significant for the nearly 450 scholar-athletes participating in our highly competitive NCAA Division III program, which includes 12 varsity sports. Our students compete at a very high level – as evidenced by the number of individual and team championships and All-America recognition our scholar-athletes achieve. And we annually rank among Division III leaders in fan support and attendance. In sum, Little Giant athletics offers learning and leadership opportunities on and off the field that prepare our students for life. Matt Tanney '05 Wabash College The corporate partnership program is an opportunity to connect and strengthen the Director of Athletics relationship with your business and Wabash College. The diverse array of marketing, and Campus Wellness promotional, and advertising options through the partnership program can create powerful synergies between our respective organizations, and reach a broad audience Allen Center through multiple mediums. 601 Milligan Street Crawfordsville, IN 47933 I look forward to further discussing all of the ways we can collaborate in the coming year. While providing opportunities to pursue Athletics excellence, our program is also intended to make participation in intercollegiate athletics possible for all who want this experience. The Athletics staff takes special pride in working with goal-oriented young men attracted to the College by the rigor and reputation of its academic program. They are committed to achieving outstanding results while maintaining the quality of the student’s academic experience. With academic excellence at the core of what we do, Wabash also strives for excellence and broad participation in its intercollegiate Athletics programs, intramural competitions, and recreational activities. Our program is designed for the benefit of all our students and for the enjoyment of the entire College. Wabash Athletics also provides a wide range of summer camps and wellness programs each year. ATHLETICS AFFILIATIONS Did You Know... More than 190,000 student-athletes at 450 institutions make up Division III, the largest NCAA division both in number of participants and number of schools. The Division III experience offers participation in a competitive athletic environment that pushes student- athletes to excel on the field and build upon their potential by tackling new challenges across campus. Academics are the primary focus for Division III student-athletes. The division minimizes the conflicts between athletics and academics and helps student-athletes progress toward graduation through shorter practice and playing seasons and regional competition that reduces time away from academic studies. The North Coast Athletic Conference is dedicated to fostering a complementary relationship between intercollegiate athletics and the pursuit of academic excellence. Consisting of 10 academically selective colleges and universities in Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania — Allegheny College, Denison University, DePauw University, Hiram College, Kenyon College, Oberlin College, Ohio Wesleyan University, Wabash College, Wittenberg University, The College of Wooster — the NCAC believes that high-level athletic programs need not be sacrificed in order to meet rigid academic standards. 3 ATHLETICS OVERVIEW Little Giants in the Pursuit of Excellence 12 NCAA Division III Sports Nearly 450 Student-Athletes Compete at Wabash 3.062 Cumulative Student-Athlete GPA, Fall 2018 31 Academic All-Americans, All-Time 54 All-Americans, since 2012 20 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships, All-Time 24 NCAC Team Championships, since 1999 107 NCAA Appearances, since 1973 1 NCAA Championship, Basketball 1982 12 NCAA National Individual Champions, All-Time Athletics by the Numbers Nearly 15,000+ Fans Attend More Than 75 Home Athletic Events The Athletics Website, sports.wabash.edu, Attracts Over 29,000 Visitors Per Month (1,000+ Visitors Per Day | 142,096 Page Views Per Month) 11 Head Coaches | 25 Support Staff Wabash Provides Facility Host Sites for Numerous High School & Community Events Hundreds of Youth Participants Attend Wabash Athletics Camps and Clinics on Campus Hundreds of Teams, From Across the Country, Visit Wabash Annually 4 GET INVOLVED Wabash Athletics actively seeks corporate partners and sponsors that are interested in promoting their businesses to Wabash students, staff, supporters, and fans; or are interested in gaining exclusive access to on-campus athletic events to entertain and host their own employees, clients, or partners.
