October 5, 2020 SUBJECT: 2021 EXTENDED STAY CAMPSITES As the camping season comes to an end, we reflect on this past year and the uncertainty we endured. Our team was excited to welcome you back for the 2020 season and we would like to say thank you for choosing Parks of the St. Lawrence as your summer getaway. We would also like to express our gratitude to those of you who were displaced and relocated to other campgrounds in order to ensure you had a site for the season. While we understand that this was quite disruptive, we hope that it gave you an opportunity to explore the various campgrounds and facilities we have to offer as well as give you a chance to meet more of our staff and make new friends. We are already working away on our 2021 plans and are committed to having all of our campgrounds open next year with a full complement of staff. This will ensure that we are able to provide a safe camping environment for you as we move forward. We also hope that the enhanced measures that were put in place this year will provide some comfort, allowing those that remained at home to rejoin us and enjoy all that the Parks of the St. Lawrence has to offer. It’s Renewal Time At this time, we are reaching out to all our extended stay guests inquiring about renewal of their seasonal contracts for the 2021 season. Kindly review the attached information package, and complete and sign the online renewal contract by Friday, October 23, 2020. Please note that our team may modify the program over time with the goal of improving the experience for all guests. SLPC reserves the right to add, remove and interchange seasonal lots to support its business initiatives. A non-refundable deposit of $450.00 (includes HST) will be due upon confirmation of your intent to return. This deposit will remain refundable until two weeks after we set our 2021 rates, which we anticipate will occur mid-December once they are approved by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission Board of Commissioners. A second payment of $1000.00 (HST included) will be due on Friday, February 26, 2021 with the final balance plus any 2021 rate increase due on Friday, March 26, 2021. Seasonal guests wishing to pay their fees on a monthly basis may choose to make equal payments based on applicable 2021 rates (less the $450.00 non-refundable deposit) spread between November 27,, 2020 and March 26, 2021 with a final payment of the balance, as a result of any price increase, due on March 26, 2020. (Example – McLaren Campground - two service (30 amp) site $2,783.10 less deposit of $450.00 = $2,333.10 divided by 5 months = $466.62 monthly payment. Plus 2020 rate increase due March 26, 2021. All sums include HST.) Should any more seasonal sites be added to our existing inventory or if current extended stay guests leave their sites and SLPC decides to have these sites remain as seasonal sites, they will be put into the draw process. Current seasonal campers interested in moving to other sites or campgrounds should check the box on the renewal agreement stating their intention to relocate. The annual draw will be held in early February 2021. End of Season Reminder Lastly, I would like to remind all our extended stay campers to remove all personal belongs when leaving the premises this year. As per the Terms and Conditions of the seasonal contract, any personal equipment or belongings left on the site will be removed and disposed of at the permit holder’s expense. As a reminder, guests using a third party/contractor to remove their trailer and/or other personal belongings are responsible to notify Park staff of when the contractor will be on site. The third party/contractor will be required to sign in at the registration building prior to the removal of the equipment and/or belongings from the campsite. All contractors must provide proof of insurance and must sign out as they leave the campground. SLPC implemented the contractor policy (2018) in order to manage who is on site and to mitigate liability for any damage to SLPC facilities. Please contact your contractor to ensure that they comply with this policy. 13740 COUNTY ROAD 2, RR 1, MORRISBURG, ONTARIO K0C 1X0 • Tel 613 543 3704 • Fax 613 543 2847 • TTY 613 543 4181 • www.parks.on.ca Storage Options For those guests looking for storage solutions, Crysler Park Marina now offers both indoor and outdoor storage areas for recreational equipment.
