NWFB Route 4, 43X, 46X Citybus Route 3B and 70 Series Service Reorganisation (15 May 2015, Hong Kong)Corresponding to the extension of MTR Island Line to Western District, effective 17 May (Sunday), New World First Bus (“NWFB”) Route 4, 43X, 46X, Citybus Route 3B and 70 series will be reorganised. Details are as follows: From 17 May NWFB Route 43X, 46X, Citybus Route 3B and 70M NWFB Route 43X, 46X, Citybus Route 3B and 70M will no longer be in service. Citybus Route 70 In conjunction with the cancellation of Route 70M, Route 70 is extending its service to Wah Kwai Estate. The new service hours are 5:20am to 11:40pm from Wah Kwai Estate and 5:50am to 12:10am from Central (Exchange Square) every day. Additional departures of Route 70 will be operated from Aberdeen to Central from 5:42am to 9:50am on Monday to Saturday (except public holiday). Meanwhile, Citybus introduces a new Octopus Bus-Bus-Interchange (“BBI”) free interchange between Route 70 and 789 to facilitate passengers travelling from Wah Kwai Estate to Admiralty. Passengers taking Route 70 from Wah Kwai Estate can enjoy free interchange to Route 789 using the same Octopus at Old Wan Chai Police Station. Citybus Route 12 and 12M In conjunction with the cancellation of Route 3B, Citybus introduces a new Octopus BBI free interchange between Route 12 and 12M to facilitate passengers travelling between Central and Mid- Levels. Passengers taking Route 12 from Central can enjoy free interchange to Route 12M for Park Road-bound using the same Octopus at Caine Road outside Caritas Centre; passengers taking Route 12M from Mid-Levels can enjoy free interchange to Route 12 for Central Ferry Piers-bound using the same Octopus at Garden Road outside St. John’s Cathedral. From 18 May NWFB Route 43A In conjunction with the cancellation of Route 43X and 46X, NWFB is introducing a new Route 43A to provide service between Tin Wan Estate and Sai Ying Pun. Route 43A departing from Tin Wan Estate runs via Tin Wan Hill Road, Wah Kwai Estate, Tin Wan Praya Road, Shek Pai Wan Road, Pok Fu Lam Road, Connaught Road West, then it runs via Po Fu Lam Road, Shek Pai Wan Road, Tin Wan Praya Road, Wah Kwai Estate, Tin Wan Street before returning to Tin Wan Estate. It operates on Monday to Friday (except public holiday) from 9:30am to 3:30pm at every 60 minutes. The full fare is HK$5.6 with section fares applied. Page 1 of 2 NWFB Route 4 Special Departures In conjunction with the cancellation of Route 43X and 46X, NWFB introduces morning special departures of Route 4 to provide service from Tin Wan to Central. Departures operating from Tin Wan runs via Tin Wan Street, Tin Wan Hill Road, flyover, Tin Wan Praya Road, Wan Kwai Estate, Aberdeen Praya Road, Shek Pai Wan Road, Wah Fu Road and Wah Fu (South) Bus Terminus, and then resumes its original routeing to Central. The service hours are Monday to Saturday (except public holiday) at 7:20am, 7:40am and 8:00am. The full fare of morning special departures of Route 4 is HK$5.6 and a section fare of HK$5.3 is provided at Wah Fu. Citybus Route 70P In conjunction with the cancellation of Route 70M, Citybus enhances the service of Route 70P. The new service hours are Monday to Friday (except public holiday) at 7:30am, 7:40am, 7:55am, 8:10am, and Saturdays (except public holiday) at 7:40am, 7:55am and 8:10am.
