Dog-Friendly Free Shuttle Bus Arrangements and Rules “Puppy Summer Fun Expo” Dog-Friendly Free Shuttle Bus Arrangements and Rules 1. The organiser will provide free dog-friendly buses from Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and New Territories to AsiaWorld-Expo. 2. All passengers must present valid admission tickets on the day of event before boarding. 3. The shuttle bus schedule and route are arranged as follows. For the “Taikoo - Olympic - AsiaWorld-Expo” route, the schedule refers to taking Taikoo as the starting point. It takes about 20 minutes from Taikoo to Olympic. If passengers choose to board at Olympic, please reserve time and get prepared in advance. 5. For the “Sha Tin - Tsuen Wan - AsiaWorld-Expo” route, the schedule refers to taking Sha Tin as the starting point. It takes about 15 minutes from Sha Tin to Tsuen Wan. If passengers choose to board at Tsuen Wan, please reserve time and get prepared in advance. 6. In order to comply with the Airport Authority Bylaw (Cap 483A) on “keeping animals under control”, the organiser will arrange a free dog-friendly bus from the SkyCity Carpark parking lot to the venue of AsiaWorld-Arena. This loop line trip takes about 10 minutes, with the buses arrive at 15-minute intervals. Owners who bring their dogs and drive to AsiaWorld-Expo must transfer to this shuttle bus. They are not allowed to walk to the venue with their dogs. 7. The organiser will try its best to ensure accurate bus schedule and boarding locations. However, the organiser also reserves the right to change relevant details without any prior notice. Rules: 1. When the bus is moving, all passengers must remain seated for safety. 2. All dogs must be on leash and accompanied by owners at all times on the bus. Dogs over 20kg must be securely muzzled. 3. Fighting dogs (including Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Japanese Tosa, Fila Braziliero and their crossbreeds) and known dangerous dogs must be securely muzzled and held on a leash not longer than 1.5 metres at all times in public places. They must also wear special collars. 4. Owing to the large number of dogs in the bus, passengers need to pay attention to their own and their dogs’ safety. In case of any accident, the organiser will not bear any responsibility. 5. Passengers must keep the carriage clean and hygienic, and the owners must also prepare relevant supplies in advance and clean up their dogs’ excrement. 6. Eating or drinking is prohibited on the bus. 7. The organiser accepts no liability and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly (including special, incidental or consequential loss or damage) from passengers’ access to the bus. If accident happens due to the negligence of the bus drivers, passengers shall follow up with the bus company commissioned by the organiser. 8. If the organiser deems that someone’s behavior is offensive or annoying, or has caused danger to other passengers, the organiser may refuse the person to board the bus or request to get off the bus during the journey. 9. The organiser reserves the right to final decision on all related issues. 7 .

The WPI team surveyed 16 waterfront districts, four in-depth, assessing their walkability using a tool created by the research team and conducted preference surveys to understand the perceptions of Hong Kong pedestrians. Because pedestrians value the shortest, safest, least-crowded, and easiest to navigate routes, this study found that confusing routes, unsafe or indirect connections, and a lack of amenities detract from the walkability in Hong Kong. Limited access highways are defined as those that the Commissioner, with the advice and consent of the Governor and the Attorney General, designates as limited access highways to allow access only at highway intersections or designated points. This is provided by Section 13b-27 of the Connecticut General Statutes. This document is distributed within the Department of Transportation and the Division Office of the Federal Highway Administration for information and use. The primary purpose to produce this document is to provide a certified copy to the Office of the State Traffic Administration (OSTA). The OSTA utilizes this annual listing to comply with Section 14-298 of the Connecticut General Statutes. This statute, among other directives, requires the OSTA to publish annually a list of limited access highways.     LC Paper No. CB(1)848/03-04(03) LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL PANEL ON TRANSPORT Traffic Impact on Tuen Mun Road upon the Commissioning of Hong Kong – Shenzhen Western Corridor and Deep Bay Link Purpose This paper informs Members of the traffic impact on Tuen Mun Road upon the commissioning of the Hong Kong – Shenzhen Western Corridor (HK–SWC) and Deep Bay Link (DBL), as well as the options being considered by the Administration to improve the traffic flow of Tuen Mun Road. Background 2. The HK–SWC is a dual three-lane carriageway spanning across Deep Bay linking the northwestern part of the New Territories with Shekou in Shenzhen. The DBL serves as the connecting road between the HK–SWC and the local transport network, linking the HK–SWC at its landing point at Ngau Hom Shek with the Yuen Long Highway. Construction of the DBL and the HK–SWC have commenced in June and August 2003 respectively. They are scheduled for completion by the end of 2005. Traffic Situation of Tuen Mun Road 3. Tuen Mun Road was partially completed and opened in 1978 to link up Tsuen Wan and Tuen Mun. It was fully completed in 1983. In early 1998, the Administration obtained funding approval from the Finance Committee to undertake an Investigation and Preliminary Design Consultancy Study for the section of Route 4 (formerly known as Route 7) between Kennedy Town and Aberdeen at a cost of $66 million. The scope of the study was to establish its land requirements, as well as the environmental, marine, drainage, traffic and other impacts on the areas concerned. The study was completed in August 2000. 3. In July 2001, the Administration put forward a proposal to proceed with an engineering review on the section of Route 4 between Kennedy Town and Pok Fu Lam. As for the remaining part of Route 4 between Pok Fu Lam and Aberdeen, the Administration indicated that it would be reviewed in the light of further development in the Southern District. 4. The Panel was concerned that the phased implementation of Route 4 could not help satisfy the transport needs of residents. The Panel passed the following motion at the meeting on 13 July 2001: “This Panel strongly requests the Administration to construct Route 7 from Kennedy Town to Aberdeen mainly in tunnel form as soon as possible.” 5.

At present, construction of all major projects is either at the last stage or in completion. Tung Chung New Town, one of the Airport Core Programme (ACP), has been initially set up for housing 216,000 people by 2006 and providing living area for servicing staff of the new airport. Based on the case study on the development of Tung Chung New Town, this paper illustrates the relationship between transport system and land use development. In the paper, referring to many survey data and research results, the development of Tung Chung New Town is shown to be essential due to the relocation of the Hong Kong Airport. On the other hand, comparing with other new towns in Hong Kong, Tung Chung New Town is provided with better transport system links that minimize the travel time and improve the comfort and accessibility to other parts of the territory. This makes Tung Chung New Town a more attractive new town for people to reside. 1 Introduction In the past twenty years, the Hong Kong International Airport at Kai Tak has commenced a series of improvement to cater for the continuous growth in passengers and cargo.
