The WPI team surveyed 16 waterfront districts, four in-depth, assessing their walkability using a tool created by the research team and conducted preference surveys to understand the perceptions of Hong Kong pedestrians. Because pedestrians value the shortest, safest, least-crowded, and easiest to navigate routes, this study found that confusing routes, unsafe or indirect connections, and a lack of amenities detract from the walkability in Hong Kong.     2021 LIMITED ACCESS STATE NUMBERED HIGHWAYS As of December 31, 2020 CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF Transportation BUREAU OF POLICY AND PLANNING Office of Roadway Information Systems Roadway INVENTORY SECTION INTRODUCTION Each year, the Roadway Inventory Section within the Office of Roadway Information Systems produces this document entitled "Limited Access - State Numbered Highways," which lists all the limited access state highways in Connecticut. Limited access highways are defined as those that the Commissioner, with the advice and consent of the Governor and the Attorney General, designates as limited access highways to allow access only at highway intersections or designated points. This is provided by Section 13b-27 of the Connecticut General Statutes. This document is distributed within the Department of Transportation and the Division Office of the Federal Highway Administration for information and use. The primary purpose to produce this document is to provide a certified copy to the Office of the State Traffic Administration (OSTA). The OSTA utilizes this annual listing to comply with Section 14-298 of the Connecticut General Statutes. This statute, among other directives, requires the OSTA to publish annually a list of limited access highways. In compliance with this statute, each year the OSTA publishes the listing on the Department of Transportation’s website (http://www.ct.gov/dot/osta). The following is a complete listing of all state numbered limited access highways in Connecticut and includes copies of Connecticut General Statute Section 13b-27 (Limited Access Highways) and Section 14-298 (Office of the State Traffic Administration). It should be noted that only those highways having a State Route Number, State Road Number, Interstate Route Number or United States Route Number are listed.

This paper sets out the background to the planning of Route 4, South Hong Kong Island Line (SIL) and West Hong Kong Island Line (WIL). It also summarizes the major views expressed by members and deputations at previous meetings of the Panel on Transport. Route 4 2. In early 1998, the Administration obtained funding approval from the Finance Committee to undertake an Investigation and Preliminary Design Consultancy Study for the section of Route 4 (formerly known as Route 7) between Kennedy Town and Aberdeen at a cost of $66 million. The scope of the study was to establish its land requirements, as well as the environmental, marine, drainage, traffic and other impacts on the areas concerned. The study was completed in August 2000. 3. In July 2001, the Administration put forward a proposal to proceed with an engineering review on the section of Route 4 between Kennedy Town and Pok Fu Lam. As for the remaining part of Route 4 between Pok Fu Lam and Aberdeen, the Administration indicated that it would be reviewed in the light of further development in the Southern District. 4. The Panel was concerned that the phased implementation of Route 4 could not help satisfy the transport needs of residents. The Panel passed the following motion at the meeting on 13 July 2001: “This Panel strongly requests the Administration to construct Route 7 from Kennedy Town to Aberdeen mainly in tunnel form as soon as possible.” 5.

Our goal was to propose a universally accessible pedestrian model to reach the East Kowloon harbor front. Through surveys and exploration of pedestrian pathways, we found inconsistencies in the degree of accessibility, stemming from the lack of Hong Kong accessibility standards.     LC Paper No. CB(1)1912/03-04(25) For discussion Legislative Council Panel on Transport West Hong Kong Island Line, South Hong Kong Island Line and Route 4 INTRODUCTION This paper serves to brief Members on the details of West Hong Kong Island Line/South Hong Kong Island Line (WIL/SIL) Project Proposal submitted by the MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL) as well as the progress of the development of the Route 4 (formerly Route 7) – Section between Kennedy Town and Aberdeen. BACKGROUND 2. MTRCL conducted a WIL/SIL feasibility study in mid-2003 to develop a more cost effective railway scheme serving the western and southern districts. In the study, the MTRCL has also evaluated the external benefits of the WIL/SIL project and the impact of the rail project on other modes of transport. Upon the completion of the study, the MTRCL submitted a preliminary WIL/SIL Project Proposal to the Government in end March 2004. MTRCL WIL/SIL PROJECT PROPOSAL 3. The Panel was briefed on the development of the preliminary scheme for the WIL/SIL in October 2003. Since then, the MTRCL has further refined the railway scheme options with respect to constructability, patronage, costs, and environmental and economic benefits. In the course of the scheme development, MTRCL conducted a public consultation exercise to gather public views and opinions on how the WIL/SIL should best be carried forward. MTRCL’s proposed WIL/SIL scheme now comprises the following three major components: Page 2 of 5 (a) a short extension of the Island Line from Sheung Wan to Sai Ying Pun; (b) a proposed WIL from Sai Ying Pun to Wong Chuk Hang via University, Kennedy Town, Cyberport, Wah Fu and Aberdeen with provision for future stations in Queen Mary Hospital and Tin Wan; and (c) a proposed SIL from South Horizons via Lei Tung, Wong Chuk Hang and Ocean Park to Admiralty with Happy Valley and Wan Chai Stations as optional.
