The Sheikh's Palace Home of the Finest Lebanese Cuisine and Playground to the Rich and Famous. Stage to renowned Sheikh's Bellydancers and Enchanting rhythmic Beats, a Vast Beverage selection, Aromatic Teas and bellowing Hubbly Bubblies. Service so fine, An outing so Memorable, Your return to the Palace... Inevitable Lebanese hospitality is expressed by the offering of food which is intricately prepared by skilled masters of the kitchen, paying special attention to the quality of ingredients and dietary variety enjoyed by guests. An Arabic Proverb… "The measure of a great host is when all guests appetites are satisfied" It is regarded as proper to eat with your hands... tearing a piece of bread , either placing it on the desired item and pinching between your fingers or elegantly dipping it - making sure your hands are kept clean. A typical Lebanese meal would almost always start with Mezze - derived from the word "Miz" (which means to taste) Mezze is an abundant array of dishes selected for their various textures, contrasting flavours and nourishing characteristics, served in small quantities to tantalise the tastebuds but not ruin the appetite. These delicacies are served to the centre of the table and eaten with pita bread or yeast free markouk. Main course is then served - either plated, or plattered for guests to share. Smoking of the Argileh, (Middle Eastern Hubbly Bubbly) is customary and is enjoyed throughout the meal. Dessert is never missed and always accompanied with coffee or aromatic teas. Writhing Belly Dancers may entertain you throughout the evening and it is customary to show your appreciation by tipping. Correct "Tipping Ettiquette" Simply place notes in shoulder strap otherwise into the hip belt on either hip. Touching otherwise is strictly forbidden. MENU THE GATHERING For parties of four or more, the Chef recommends one of the house menus. Since only a selection of the most popular dishes is represented, feel free to add or supplement from the rest of the menu. HOUSE MENUS MENU 1 MENU 2 At R165-00 per person.
