On one hand, the international expansion of K-pop can be understood as a result of the strategic planning and business execution that are created and carried out by the entertainment agencies. On the other hand, external circumstances such as the rise of social media also create a wide array of opportunities for K-pop to broaden its global appeal. The research explores the ways how the interplay between external circumstances and organizational strategies has jointly contributed to the global circulation of K-pop. The research starts with providing a general descriptive overview of K-pop. Following that, quantitative methods are applied to measure and assess the international recognition and global spread of K-pop. Next, a systematic approach is used to identify and analyze factors and forces that have important influences and implications on K-pop’s globalization. The analysis is carried out based on three levels of business environment which are macro, operating, and internal level. PEST analysis is applied to identify critical macro-environmental factors including political, economic, socio-cultural, and technological.

Dibimbing oleh Nursidah, S.Pd., M.Pd. dan Yunita El Risman, S.S., M.A. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan jenis dan fungsi campur kode yang terdapat pada lagu karya AKB48. Adapun manfaat dari aspek teoritis yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah diharapkan penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan wawasan dalam kajian sosiolinguistik yang berhubungan dengan bilingualism khususnya campur kode mengenai jenis dan fungsi campur kode. Sedangkan dari aspek praktis adalah diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan manfaat, terutama bagi para mahasiswa untuk menambah referensi tentang kajian sosiolinguistik khususnya campur kode pada lagu karya AKB48. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data dari lagu AKB48, kemudian diklasifikasikan sesuai jenisnya dan dianalisis lebih lanjut untuk menentukan fungsi campur kode dari lirik lagu tersebut sehingga menghasilkan suatu simpulan. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan jenis dan fungsi campur kode pada lirik lagu AKB48 terdapat (1) Jenis campur kode penyisipan yang pada lirik lagu AKB48 berjumlah
