UNRAVELLED A NEW MUSICAL COMPANY BIOS “Unravelled: A New Musical” i s Chaos & Light's second stage production. After their critically acclaimed run of sold out performances in 2016's Toronto Fringe Festival, they adapted their hit show, “ECHOES” into a feature musical flm written and directed by Andrew Seok which premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival in 2018. Since then, they have produced two of Seok's musical short flms, along with his brand new full length feature musical flm “What Am I Without You?” which is currently in post production. ANDREW SEOK – Creative Director Creative director, Andrew Seok began his music career as a Musical Theatre Singer & Composer, moved onto Vocal Coach, then Singer / Songwriter, TV / Film Composer & Record Producer, and fnally Filmmaker. His frst feature flm, “ECHOES”, premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival in 2018, and he has since made two musical short flms and is completing his second feature, “What Am I Without You?”. He has written, sung, & produced music for: Nike, Coke, Samsung, Visa, as well as numerous TV series: Playmakers (ESPN), Discovery Channel, and Addicted To Plastic (Netfix). He has worked with / for Feist, Chantal Kreviazuk, Raine Maida (Our Lady Peace), Jully Black, Jeff Healey, Stephen Flaherty & Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Anastasia), and produced God Made Me Funky's Juno nominated album. JEFF MADDEN – Dramaturge / Co-Producer Jeff can currently be seen on stage in the Canadian company of Come From Away (Mirvish), and is best known for starring as ‘Frankie Valli’ in the hit musical Jersey Boys, winning the Dora Award for ‘Outstanding Performance in a Musical’. After the two year run in Toronto, he later starred in the Australian production for 15-months. Recently, Jeff played 'The Postman' in Andrew Seok's stage and flm versions of ECHOES, 'Jinx' in the Starvox/Mirvish production of Forever Plaid, and numerous plays and musicals at the Shaw Festival, where he was an ensemble member for eight seasons. DERRICK CHUA – Consulting Producer A co-founder of Studio 180, Derrick is an entertainment lawyer and award-winning theatre producer. Recent productions include I’m Doing This For You (Edinburgh, Amsterdam, London, Tampere, Piotrowice Nyskie, Halifax, Toronto), Counting Sheep (Edinburgh), Confessions and Adventures of a Redheaded Coffeeshop Girl(Edinburgh, Brighton), Dance Animal (Toronto Fringe), Obeah Opera (PANAMANIA), The God That Comes & When It Rains (Edinburgh Fringe), Oh My Irma (International Tour: Edinburgh Fringe, Berlin, London, Kosovo, Ulaanbaatar, Brighton, Amsterdam, Kiel, New York, Victoria), Fortune and Men’s Eyes (Dancemakers), Gruesome Playground Injuries(The Theatre Centre). Derrick is past-President of the Toronto Fringe Festival, and sits on the boards of The AFC, Theatre Museum Canada, fu-Gen Asian Canadian Theatre Company and Groundling Theatre. He is the recipient of a Dora Award, a Harold Award, a NOW Magazine Award as Toronto’s Best Indie Producer, and a Canadian Actors’ Equity Association Honorary Membership for Outstanding Contribution to the Performing Arts..
