Dear Class of 2021 and Parents: The 2021 Post Prom party is fast approaching, and although it will not follow a “normal” Prom as usual, we hope that it will be just as fun for the Class of 2021. It will be held at the Orchard Park Community Center on June 19th from 3 – 7 p.m. The party is run by the High School PTO and is a drug- and alcohol- free event. Important information about the event is below. We know that this is a lengthy letter, but PLEASE read it in full. 1. Post Prom Communication. Students and parents should subscribe to the 2021 Post Prom Remind group at: https://www.remind.com/join/cc8927. Moving forward, all Post Prom information will be pushed out through Remind and will also be posted on the Post Prom page of the High School website (under the Parent Resources tab). 2. Students MUST purchase a ticket in advance. There will be NO exceptions. This is the only way we can plan to comply with COVID restrictions in place at the time of the event. If your student is not sure whether they can attend, please have them purchase a ticket. Only OP seniors may attend the event and each senior may therefore only purchase 1 ticket. Tickets are $10 and will be sold online from May 10th through the 21st. You may pay online or choose the option to pay offline by mailing in a check or cash to the address indicated when you check out. Checks/cash must be received by June 1st. Click here to purchase tickets: https://orchardparkhspto.membershiptoolkit.com/form/m/138945. 3. The event will take place rain or shine. While we plan to hold the event mainly outside, we will move indoors if the weather does not cooperate. If more students purchase tickets than are permitted to be indoors at one time, we will have tents and activities set up outside as well. The Community Center can accommodate a large number of students inside in compliance with COVID protocols so we do not anticipate that this will be a problem. 4. COVID protocols will be followed. We are required to comply with all COVID rules in effect at the time of the party. Students will be required to wear a mask at all times except while having a snack in the designated food/drink area. All of the vendors have COVID protocols in place that will be followed. HELP NEEDED! We need LOTS of help to make this event a success. There are several ways you can help: Volunteer: Volunteers are needed to set up/clean up, serve refreshments, help with registration, hang posters, and chaperone.
