Deloitte CIS has successfully completed a project implementing a comprehensive solution to plan and allocate customer premises equipment (CPE) for PJSC VimpelCom. Inventor System, a locally developed software package from Inventor Soft, was chosen as the automation platform. The selection process was guided by functionality, total cost of ownership and support flexibility. The project automated the introduction of a product range matrix, sales forecasting, calculation of target inventory levels, procurement planning and daily inventory allocation between VimpelCom sales outlets. Deloitte provided methodological support and collaborated with VimpelCom in project management, software implementation, training users to work with the IT system and drawing up prodcedures for the automated supply and management of CPE. Despite a rapid increase in the number of sales outlets and an expansion of the product range matrix as a result of the project, the monthly procurement budget fell 10 percent and future stock levels were down 15 percent. Deloitte specialists and the VimpelCom team launched the system two months ahead of schedule. The overall project delivery time was 9 months, including commercial operation of the solution. “This is one of those projects that provides a positive example of effective collaboration between consultant and customer in addressing complex business challenges. When accepting this project, we understood how important it was for the company’s retail business and the responsibilities we were undertaking as a methodological and technological consultant. I believe that the secret of the project's success, as demonstrated by the significant cost saving, was the coordination of the team, the selection of the right solution and its quality implementation,” stated Irina Biryukova, Partner, Supply Chain Services, Deloitte CIS. ### About VimpelCom PJSC VimpelCom (Beeline brand) is a member of VEON Ltd group of companies, a global communications provider, aiming to be number one in personal internet services for its subscriber base of more than 235 million, and new customers, over the coming years.
