Alle Jahre wieder naht der August und die Vorfreude wächst... Das zehnte Mal in Folge sind wir ausverkauft´ und damit werden wir zwi- schen dem 9. und dem 13. August gemeinsam mit 20.000 Besuchern Eschwege rocken und Sommer, Sonne und Flair genießen! Nachdem nach dem Flair 2016 die letzten Zäune abgebaut waren, haben wir uns die Köpfe heiß gedacht und uns Neuerungen einfallen lassen, damit wir alle noch mehr Flair erleben können: Es wird zwei neue Spielorte geben! Auf dem Vorplatz des E-Werks werden auf einer kleinen, aber feinen Bühne verschiedene Liedermacher ihr Repertoire präsentieren, und für Freunde des Elektro wird es in der Grebendörfer Allee eine neue Area geben. Im letzten Jahr gingen Ereignisse, wie Absagen von anderen Festivals, an den Meisten nicht spurlos vorbei. Das zeigt unsmso u mehr, wie wichtig un- sere, jedes Jahr aufs Neue fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit mit den regionalen Ordnungsbehörden ist, denn so kann unsere beschauliche Kleinstadt auch 2017 wieder ein wenig bunter, lauter und voller werden! Unser Dank geht aber natürlich ebenso an alle anderen, die zum inzwischen 33. Mal diese verrückt-tolle Party ermöglichen! Euer Rückhalt und euer Ver- trauen ist uns ein innerliches Blumenpflücken!     Programm-Release III Open Air Gampel 14.-17.08.2014 «The best party of my life» Mit den bisherigen Bestätigungen hat ‚Gampel‘ mit Volbeat, Marilyn Manson, Mandio Diao und anderen bereits einige heisse Perlen angekündigt. Das mittlerweile dritte Bandpaket steht nun für das, was ‚Gampel‘ gross macht: nämlich «Ischi Party»! Und um dem gerecht zu werden, musste der ultimative Partykracher her – überraschend und exklusiv! Einfach Scooter! Scooter mit «20 years of hardcore» verkauften weltweit über 30 Millionen Tonträger und waren während über 500 Wochen in den Charts vertreten. In Kürze erscheint mit «The fifth chapter» das brandneue Album. In dieselbe Kerbe schlagen Clean Bandit. Solche Besuche sind immer aufregend, aber auch schwierig. Man weiß nicht, wie es den Eltern geht: Sind sie gestresst oder noch voll von Glücksadrenalin, ist das Kind gesund, was bringt man mit? All so etwas. Diese Gedanken waren aber auf einen Schlag vergessen, als ich das Mutter-Kind-Zimmer betrat und das überraschend hässliche Baby sah. Ich meine, nicht so ein verknautschtes Frischgeborenen-Baby, ich meine hässlich: verformter Kopf, grenzdebiler Blick, unsympathisches Äußeres, volles Pro- gramm. Gesund, aber hässlich. Da hat man es als Besucher echt schwer. Die Eltern sind schließlich überglücklich, halten ihr Kind hoch wie ein wertvolles Juwel, ob man es denn zum Beispiel mal halten wolle? Äh, erst mal nicht, danke. Solange man nicht weiß, ob es etwas Ansteckendes hat. Und ob es denn nicht der Mutter total aus dem Gesicht geschnitten sei? Ist das jetzt eine Fangfrage? Ich meine, das Kind sieht aus wie der Sohn vom Elefanten- menschen und die Mutter ist eigentlich ganz passabel, was also antworten? Ja, also, ich finde irgendwie schon, aber irgendwie auch wieder total nicht, versteht ihr, was ich meine? Vielleicht eher nach den Großeltern? Nach allen vieren gleichzeitig, genetische Merkmale überspringen ja auch oft eine Generation ..

    Festival am, im und unter Wasser Rock am Beckenrand probt im Thermalsolbad Salzgitter-Bad Das im Sommer 2007 ins Leben gerufene Open Air Festival Rock am Beckenrand findet im kommenden Jahr am 18. und 19. August statt. Die Location: Das idyllische Waldfreibad in Wolfshagen im Harz. Das Besondere: keiner bleibt trocken! Nicht etwa weil es regnet, sondern weil den Besuchern während des Festivals eine Vielzahl an Aktivitäten am und im Wasser geboten wird. Neben einer aufblasbaren Sprungturm-Rutsche, Water Zorbing und Pogotanz vor der Poolstage gibt es in 2017 mit dem Unterwasser-Fotoshooting ein einzigartiges Highlight! Eine erste Kostprobe dessen, was bei einem solchen Fotoshooting entstehen kann, hat das Team des Rock am Beckenrand e. V. mit freundlicher Unterstützung des Thermalsolbades Salzgitter-Bad inszeniert. Da die Aktion aus organisatorischen Gründen erst im Winter stattfinden konnte und die Models sich bei den dann gegebenen Witterungsbedingungen im Waldfreibad hätten in Neoprenanzüge zwängen müssen, kam die Idee, in wärmere Gefilde umzuziehen. Wärmer als im Thermalsolbad Salzgitter-Bad hätte man es nicht treffen können. In einem angenehmen Klima verwandelte das ehrenamtliche Shooting-Team, bestehend aus den Fotografen von FN’sensation und Farpfoto sowie mehreren Models und Roadies das erholsame Ambiente der Therme in ein Foto-Studio mit Scheinwerfern, Schlagzeug, Gitarren, einem Zelt und vielen weiteren Requisiten, die zu einem Festival dazu gehören. Während die Badgeäste zunächst etwas skeptisch dreinblickten, hatten sich diese schnell an das ungewöhnliche Treiben gewöhnt. Und einige wurden schnell zu interessierten Zuschauern. Auch die freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter des Thermalsolbades standen stets mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wer selbst einmal ein solch außergewöhnliches Foto von sich und seinen Freunden knipsen lassen möchte, der kann dies im nächsten Sommer bei Rock am Beckenrand tun.
