Happy and Blessed Ascension Sunday! Tuesday & Friday: Fr. Bedel 8:15 am

Wednesday: 6:45 am* | 8:15am Marian Consecration (*Extraordinary Form) Friday: What’s all the buzz about Marian Consecration? 8:15 am The Archdiocese of Cincinnati celebrates 200 years on June 19th. Archbishop Schnurr will

re-consecrate the Archdiocese to Mary on that Saturday: 8:15 am | 4:30 pm day. He’s inviting all of us to consecrate ourselves to Jesus through Mary on the same day. Sunday: 8:00 am** | 10:00 am*** What is Marian Consecration anyway? 12:00 pm | 5:30 pm To consecrate something is to set it aside for a (**No Music, ***Mass is Livestream) holy purpose. By consecrating to Mary, you set yourself aside for a holy purpose, to become a saint. In fact, St. Louis De Montfort tells us that “[Mary] is the safest, easiest, shortest and most perfect way of approaching Jesus...” Many saints throughout the ages have given their lives to Mary such as St Maximillian Kolbe, Saint Pope John Paul II, St Mother Teresa of Calcutta, and St Louis De Montfort.

How do I consecrate myself? As part of the Bicentennial celebration of the archdiocese, SMOY has received free copies of 33 Days to Morning Glory by Father Michael Gaitley. Take the booklet home and read just a few pages a day and prayerfully contemplate them through- out the day. Then after 33 days of reading, you can read the consecration prayer here at the parish on June 19th or wherever you are. The first day you read the booklet is on Sunday, May 16th and then every day until June 19th. There will be a blessing for those who wish to begin the consecration on May 16th after all of the weekend Masses.

Will there be someone to discuss what I’m reading with? Yes, there are many options. You can form a group to discuss the book within a ministry you are already in. You can grab a group of friends who you might see every week at the soccer or baseball practice fields and talk while your children practice. You can try a neighborhood consecration and meet on the deck of your homes. The parish will also have two discussion groups available. Wednesday mornings at 9:30am in the Gathering Space and Thursday evenings at 8:45pm on Zoom (We know it’s a bit late, but our parents with small children can put them to bed and not worry about babysitters that way.) To get the Zoom link, visit: https://forms.office.com/r/qSX5AB8rQD
