LIVE AUCTION

Lot 1: Honorees’ Lot: O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery Dinner Party Featuring Thomas Keller

Dinner for 10 at O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery prepared by celebrity chef Thomas Keller Exclusive wines from O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery and Paul Woolls’ celebrated cellar Limo transportation to and from event by Verve Napa Valley.

Thomas Keller is arguably one of the finest chefs in the world—the only American-born chef to hold multiple three star ratings by the Michelin Guide—and for this lot, he’s packing his knives and whites and heading up Howell Mountain. His destination? O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery, acclaimed for its wines— particularly its mountain Cabernets.

Both Thomas and Betty O’Shaughnessy are known for their high standards for the food and wine they respectively produce, and this collaboration should translate into an experience that takes the term “dinner party” to a new level.

The setting, located above St. Helena, is as stunning as the menu and wines. The stone and glass structure of the winery blends harmoniously with the beauty of the land. The surrounding landscape blurs the line between untouched and planned: olives, rosemary and lavender frame the views with accents of colors throughout the verandas. Built into the hillside behind the winery is an 11,000-square-foot cave. Its semicircular construction and soaring 26-foot-high ceilings give the impression that the cave is never- ending.

To allow you to fully enjoy this evening, Verve Napa Valley will chauffeur your party to and from the festivities. Upon pick up, T Beller, Verve’s curator in chief, will set the mood for the evening by sabering a bottle of bubbly for guests to enjoy aboard Verve’s super-sleek, custom-made Mercedes Benz luxury coach as they travel to O’Shaughnessy Estate Winery.

A four-star evening, from start to finish.

NOTE: To be scheduled for a mutually agreeable date. Transportation is based on one pick-up/drop-off location.

Lot 2: Step Back into History in Downtown Napa: Be the First to Tour and Dine at an Iconic 1888 Queen Anne Victorian Home Restoration

Private Tour of the historic Ackerman House Dinner for 8, hosted by Lauren Ackerman and prepared by top chef Victor Scargle Premium Wines, including Moone-Tsai Chardonnay, plus Three Vintage Verticals of Ackerman Family Vineyards

Luther Turton may be not a familiar name, but the 19th-century architect’s work defines Napa Valley’s look: the Noyes Mansion, the Migliavacca Mansion, the Beazley house, the BV Rutherford House, St. Helena High’s Vintage Hall, the Goodman Library, and many of the historic homes on First Street. His ability to work in all the styles of the day—Queen Anne late Victorian, Classic Revival, Craftsman and Prairie Style—made him in high demand in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and the quality of his work means that some of the Napa Valley’s most visually stunning homes and commercial buildings exist to this day.

Vintner Lauren Ackerman has offered the winning bidder the very first access to the 1888 Queen Anne home she is restoring to its former glory. She will host four couples for a tour of this Turton home in Old Town Napa, after which the group will enjoy a dinner in the house’s renovated private kitchen, prepared by

Victor Scargle, noted chef at the Lucy Restaurant at Bardessono in Yountville, with each course paired with Ackerman Family wines, served by Lauren.

There will be several grand openings of this iconic house when it is completed, but you’ll be the first to experience this historic house through this enchanted evening that brings Napa Valley’s past, present and future together into one fabulous night.

NOTE: To be scheduled for a mutually agreeable date in September or October 2014.

California Country Rock concert at Trefethen Family Vineyards featuring Napa’s own Silverado Pickups Gourmet BBQ catered by Smoakville Wines by Trefethen Family Vineyards Drawing for wines donated by the band members and host

Get a group of vintners and wine professionals together and they usually talk shop. But bring together vintners David Duncan of Silver Oak and Twomey Cellars, Jeff Gargiulo of Gargiulo Vineyards, Shane Soldinger of Crocker & Starr, professional percussionist Joe Shotwell, Dan Zepponi of Valley of the Moon, winemaker Tres Goetting of Robert Biale Vineyards, and wine-country “C.P.A. to the stars” Paul Hoffman and you get a jammin’ performance by the Silverado Pickups—and it turns out they make music as well as they make wine.

Lot 13: Old World/New World Trip to Italy

3 nights’ accommodations for 2 couples at the Arcanum Estate private apartments 2 nights’ accommodations for 2 couples at Castello della Sala 2 nights’ accommodations for 2 couples at Fonte dé Medici Tour and tasting for 4 at Arcanum Estate Tour and tasting for 4 at Antinori nel Chianti Classico 2 – 1.5L 2010 Antica NV Cabernet Sauvignon

Arcanum Estate and Antica Napa Valley have collaborated to offer the winning bidder of this lot the opportunity to explore the best of Old World wines with this adventure for four.

Old World Begin your journey exploring the 625 years of winemaking heritage of the Antinori family. Your first stop is into the heart of the Umbria region of Italy, the home of Orvieto Classico, for a two-night stay at the Antinori family’s Castello della Sala. Located just a short distance away from the boundary with Tuscany and the historic city of Orvieto, the 1250-acre estate includes 345 acres vineyards and 20 acres of olive groves. During your stay, you’ll enjoy a tour and tasting at the winery and have time to explore the surrounding historic, hillside Etruscan villages.

Then you’re off to Tuscany to spend two nights at Antinori’s Fonte dé Medici, located among the vineyard- covered rolling hills of Chianti Classico. Rich in beauty and history, as well as modern amenities, the beautiful Fonte dé Medici trace its roots back to the 1400s when it served as a popular stopover for travelers between Florence and Siena.

While staying at this historic property, you’ll visit Antinori nel Chianti Classico, the newly opened museum and cellar, where the family recounts its own past in an unusual way, fusing the old the new. In the museum, avant-garde converses with tradition, with contemporary works displayed with those of the historic family collection, continuing the centuries-old tradition of patronage of the Florentine nobility. The cellar was constructed to be in harmony with the landscape, so a vineyard covers the entire edifice, with the only view of the countryside from the cellar available from a terrace surrounded by these vineyards. While the cellar was constructed for the production of wine it gives wine lovers the opportunity

to see the production philosophy of the family and see, step by step, how a wine is born. Your visit concludes with a tasting of wines from family’s various Chianti Classico properties produced in this cellar.

Once you’ve completed your Antinori experience, you’ll continue your Chianti exploration at the 2,500- year-old Arcanum Estate in Castelnuovo Berardenga in the province of Siena. Start with a tour of the estate, followed by an in-depth tasting of our wines.

To give you time to explore the beauty of diversity of the Tuscan countryside at a relaxed pace, also included is a three-night stay for four at the Arcanum Estate private apartments, in the ancient, walled town of San Gusmè

New World After that, your travels may be done, but the exploration is not. From Antica Napa Valley, you’ll receive two bottles of the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, a pure, rich and structured wine that showcases layers of rich flavors of ripe plum, blackberry and wild berry along with accents of mocha and espresso.

The perfect wine to share with friends as you share stories from your expedition.

NOTE: To be scheduled for mutually agreeable dates prior to September 30, 2014. Arcanum Estate visit and accommodations to be scheduled 4-6 months out. Does not include airfare.

Lot 14: Fund a Need

Project Patient Connect In taking care of people in their time of need, every moment matters. That’s why the new Herman Family Pavilion has been constructed with smart technology, including a secure internal communications system that connects the surgery suites with the Clinical Laboratory and Pathology Services visually in real time to facilitate collaboration during a surgical procedure.

But to realize the full potential of technology-enabled communication, the Pavilion needs to have the ability to instantly link nurses with their patients and physicians and allow for immediate communication among the entire medical team, including the instant transmission of charts and other medical information.

Cisco Unified Communications provides a comprehensive IP communications system of voice, video, data, and mobility products and applications designed just for this purpose. Specialized digital phones allow caregivers and patients the ability to send critical alerts and messaging over a secure network, protecting confidentiality of sensitive information and allowing for the fastest possible response when you need it.

This system gives patients the ability to call for pain medication or other needed support by simply pushing a nurse-call button at the bedside that connects directly with their nurse’s VOIP phone (Voice-over Internet Protocol), anywhere in the Pavilion. Nurses can then quickly respond and assure their patients that help is on the way.

Nurses can also immediately connect directly with physicians who are able to initiate orders to resolve issues as soon as they arise—or instantly consult with their colleagues when required.

Project Patient Connect costs $300,000 to implement in the Herman Family Pavilion. This includes 200 mobile devices designed with specialized technology required to enhance communications in a rigorous hospital setting.

The minutes saved by this new system will result in a higher level of patient and provider satisfaction, improved patient care and, in some cases, even save lives.

We’re asking your help in funding this important need. Please raise your paddle at the highest possible level.

Lot 17: A Melka Portfolio

54 bottles from Philippe Melka’s clients Tour, tasting and lunch for 6 at Kristine Ashe Vineyards Tour and tasting for 4 at Seavey Vineyard

Few winemakers achieve the status of being recognized by first name only, but Philippe Melka is one of them. With an illustrious roster of clients, this French-born and trained winemaker has made a name for himself crafting Napa Valley wines that speak not only of his style, but of the soils, sites and climates of their vineyard sources.

This ability to coax each site’s personality from the grapes is what makes Philippe one of the top names among Napa Valley winemakers and puts his wines among the most sought after.

The wines in Philippe’s portfolio would make for a fascinating comparison/contrast of Napa Valley terroir—not to mention the crown jewel of any collector’s cellar. But the high demand/limited availability for these wines makes that merely a dream for most oenophiles.

We’ve made it a reality for the winning bidder of this lot!

Make room for a Melka section in your cellar, because you’ll be the proud owner of dozens of bottles of wine produced by this acclaimed winemaker—including Melka’s very own label.

With all these gems in your cellar, it makes sense to learn a little more about this winemaker. So you’ll visit not one, but two of these wineries for an in-depth look into Melka’s world.

Enjoy a tour, tasting and lunch at Kristine Ashe Vineyards in Oakville. Your group will explore the 26-acre estate, learning how this winery makes modern wines the old way—completely by hand. These time- honored techniques unlock a purity of fruit not achieved by more mechanical methods, and only 500 cases are produced each year of each of its three Entre Nous estate wines.

In addition, your Melka lot includes a tour and tasting for 4 at Seavey Vineyards, located on Conn Valley Road near St. Helena. Seavey grows world-class wines, not to satisfy modern trends, but to honor age-old winemaking traditions. As founder William Seavey said, "There are no shortcuts in the vineyard. Our wine's best friend is time, with patience being a gift you give to yourself."

NOTE: Seavey Vineyard tour and tasting to be scheduled for a mutually agreeable date. Kristine Ashe tour/tasting/lunch to be scheduled for mutually agreeable date prior to April 24, 2014. Lot 18: The Call of the Siren

1 3L bottle of 2008 La Sirena Cabernet Sauvignon

It is said that winemaking is a combination of science and art. With her father a scientist-winemaker and her mother an artist, it was no surprise that Heidi Peterson Barrett’s natural-born talents led her to the wine industry, and not surprisingly, her instinctive gift of integrating the art and science of winemaking is unparalleled.

For this lot, “The First Lady of Wine,” as Robert Parker dubbed her, has offered a find almost as rare as its own name (“La Sirena” means “mermaid” in both Spanish and English), as we think you might find one of those “sirenas” before you find another like this: a 3L of La Sirena 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon. Only one of eight bottles created, it is signed by Heidi, etched, and hand-painted with gold leaf.

Donor: La Sirena/Heidi Peterson Barrett

Lot 19: Beyond Big

7 Large-format bottles of super-premium wine Lunch for 4 at Kelham Vineyards Cave tour and tasting for 6 at Pride Mountain Vineyards

Nothing says “special occasion” quite like pulling out a large-format bottle of Napa Valley wine, so we’ve assembled a big collection of big bottles from big names.

Included are: 6L 2009 Grgich Hills Estate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 3L 2006 Groth Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 3L 2007 Jaffe Estate Metamorphosis Cabernet Sauvignon (etched and painted) 3L 2008 Kelham Vineyards St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon 3L 2006 Miner Oracle Napa Valley Bordeaux Blend 3L 2009 Pride Mountain Vineyards Merlot (etched and signed) 3L 2010 Teaderman Vineyards Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

To celebrate your big win, you’ll also enjoy two events that take you from the valley floor to the heights of the Mayacamas mountain range, with a lunch and tasting for four at Kelham Vineyards, and a cave tour and tasting for six at Pride Mountain Vineyards.

To protect your investment, you have one year of wine storage at Napa Wine Lockers.

NOTE: Kelham Vineyards lunch and tasting, and Pride Mountain cave tour and tasting to be scheduled for mutually agreeable dates.
