But really it is much more than the story that sets this book apart. There is tons to explore on each page - the words, definitions, facts, vibrant colors and beautiful illustrations - all contribute to a wonderful adventure! Yes, it is a book about the celebration of Lohri, but it's also a great introduction to Punjabi traditions. My daughter loves the songs in the back. I wish there was a CD with music to sing these songs with. That would be an awesome addition and I know we would enjoy those songs in the car!
