Dear Colleagues,

Here is this week’s HR update for you.

New OSHA COVID-19 Safety rules Oregon is one of only three states to implement comprehensive rules for COVID-19 workplace safety. As Marissa mentioned last week, Metro’s response team is reviewing the guidance to make sure our policies and procedures meet new standards. One requirement is making sure we get these posters up at all workplaces and to our employees who work remotely. We will be working with managers to make sure posters are displayed. You can also view the November OSHA COVID-19 safety posters here in English and Spanish. I also want to point you to our special webpage for employees at oregonmetro.gov/covid-19. There you will find the most up-to-date information on Metro’s response to the pandemic including all COVID-19 policies and our risk assessment process. COVID-19 safety concerns can be reported to your and to [email protected].

Waiting week and Work Share update Those of us who have been on /reduced and participating in Work Share have not seen our “waiting week” of benefits come through yet. Our most recent update from colleagues at the Oregon Department is that the benefit will be paid the end of this month or the first couple weeks of December. Employees who were on Work Share the months of June and July should have the $600 pandemic relief payment include with the waiting week. Here’s a recent article from The Oregonian, Oregon hopes to pay jobless workers' ‘waiting week’ money by Thanksgiving

Please continue to make sure your timesheets are correct each week. Work Share filing occurs weekly and the data is uploaded straight from Kronos to the unemployment division.

Adidas employee store All Metro employees are invited to shop at the Adidas company store now through Wednesday, Nov. 25. Enjoy up to a 50% discount on merchandise from apparel to footwear and more.
