How long does delivery take? The Scandinavian Sauna is delivered within 8-10 weeks from when the final order is placed and the first payment is received. All our trailers and saunas are bespoke constructed and delivered by staff members from our workshop who have also been a part of the team constructing your sauna. In that way we ensure you get the best introduction to your sauna!

Do you deliver to all European countries? Yes, we deliver to all European countries including the UK and do have several partners around Europe where you will be able to test the Scandinavian Sau- nas. Please see the exact delivery costs to each European country here.

Is it possible to remove the trailer? Yes, we can construct your Scandinavian Sauna so that you will be able to remove the trailer and place the sauna more permanently in your garden. Please just inform us about this, when you place the order FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

How long does it take to heat up the saunas? It takes approx. 30-50 min to get the temperature to 80-90 degrees, the time de- pends on weather conditions such as strong wind and cold weather which slow down the heating process.

How much wood do you estimate to use in the sauna use? Please expect to use approx.1,8m3 for a minimum of 150 x ignitions/hours. In Denmark 1,8m3 costs approx. 270 euros. Please note, firewood without resin (so ideally wood from trees with leaves and no pine trees) is the best to use as resin over time will get stuck in the chimney. The firewood should ideally smaller than 15cm in diameter and 35-40 cm long.

Is it possible to get an Electrical sauna oven? Yes, can easily integrate an electrical heater in your sauna. Please just make a note about this, when you share your request with us. We would also be able to integrate a remote control function, which allows you to manage the oven via your mobile device. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Do I have to pay the 25% Danish VAT charge? If you are VAT registered entity and purchase the sauna for commercial purpos- es, you will not have to pay VAT. If you are a EU citizen and purchase the sauna privately, then yes -you will have to pay danish VAT charge, but not any other local VAT charges. If you are based in Switzerland, Norway or the UK you will % have to pay your national VAT charges and not the danish VAT.

Can get Infrared lights in my sauna? Yes, we do offer an opportunity to integrate infrared into your sauna. Please just share this request with us, I we will provide you with an offer. We do offer the opportunity of more bespoke requests in order to make your mobile sauna truly unique. We will provide a design / architect fee according to the request.

Can your trailers be legally registered in all European countries? Yes, all our trailers are bespoke made and EU type-approved. EU type-approval provides all EU countries with a common set of rules for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers. The process of legal registration of the Scandinavian Sauna is similar to the process of purchasing a car in another EU country and then re-registering it in your country. The whole registration process is quite straight forward and takes approx. 30 min at the office of your local road authorities. We are ready to guide you further on how to proceed upon delivery! THE ORIGINS OF SCANDINAVIAN SAUNA

We spent many years working as an architect (Jakob) and as a project manager (Cecilie) in London’s commercial design industry. Eventually we felt unfulfilled and in 2016 we left to support NGOs and Charities in rural Philip- pines. We lived in low socio-economic communities for two years and designed & built 4 Learning Centers for Children. When we returned to Scandi- navia in October 2018, we felt cold and ill and just made it through the winter thanks to saunas.

As a result, we started researching the history and culture of saunas and discovered that regular sauna bathing has been shown to have many positive health effects. According to studies conducted by the University of Eastern Finland, these effects include stabilizing the autonomic nervous system, while reducing blood pressure, inflammation and vascular resistance.

As we ourselves have lost loved ones to heart failure, learning about the health benefits of saunas was so encouraging. So much so that we decided to use our skills gained through our architecture practice Native Narrative to design the perfect mobile sauna. The result is the Scandinavian Sauna, which we always leave better than we came in.
