Pool Rules The following guidelines are here to help all YMCA members and guests safely enjoy the facility. Please remember our lifeguard staff is here for your safety and to help prevent accidents. Please respect their responsibility and abide by any additional instructions not listed.
1. All individuals 16 years and younger must pass a swim test to utilize the deep end
2. Children under 10 years of age must have an adult 16 years or older in the water with them at all times unless they have passed the deep water swim test, in which case adults must at least be on the pool deck
3. Appropriate swimsuits required
4. No excessive breath-holding
5. Diving in designated areas only
6. NO flips, spins, back dives/jumps (forward jumps only)
7. NO horseplay/dunking/throwing of children
8. NO use of profanity
9. NO running
10. NO street shoes on pool deck
11. NO food or drink allowed on pool deck
12. All instructional flotation devices must be lifeguard-approved
13. All children who are not toilet-trained must wear a swim diaper at all times (never a regular disposable) and either a bathing suit or plastic pants
14. Failure to follow the rules may result in expulsion
15. The lifeguards have the final discretion in rule
SPA RULES
whirlpool | steam room | sauna
1. Persons who are elderly, pregnant, using prescription medications, have heart disease, diabetes or high blood pressure should consult a physician before using the whirlpool, steam room, or sauna.
2. Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs shall not use the whirlpool, steam room, or sauna.
3. Persons should not spend more than 15 minutes in the whirlpool, steam room, or sauna in any one total session.
4. No activities requiring physical exertion may take place in the whirlpool, steam room, or sauna (this includes calisthenics, yoga, etc).
5. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed in the spa area (even on the whirlpool deck). Children ages 13-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
6. Please shower before entering the whirlpool, steam room, sauna, or swimming pool.
7. Proper swim attire is required to use whirlpool, steam room, or sauna (workout clothing is not acceptable).
8. Paper materials (newspapers, magazines, etc.) are not allowed in the steam room or sauna.
9. Be respectful of others; do not take up space with towels not being used. Unattended belongings will be removed.
10. In the event of emergency, notify the lifeguard staff on the pool deck, or press the red emergency button. The posted spa user capacity shall not be exceeded.
