OPERATIONS & RELATIONS NOW HIRING | MANAGER JOIN THE MOVEMENT. Onward NRV is looking for a new team member who is outgoing, collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to passionately support Onward’s operations and investor relations programs in order to better the region. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Operations & Investor Relations Manager’s responsibilities are, but not limited to, handling all administrative and operational tasks of the organization and executing an investor relations program that engages Onward NRV and supports annual fundraising goals to achieve our mission. The Operations & Investor Relations Manager position is a full-time, exempt position. The position operates with direct supervision from the Executive Director but must demonstrate initiative and the ability to execute responsibilities independently.

Our product is our region, and we work hard to elevate it’s brand and promote our region as an inspiring place to live, work, and do business.We spearhead: collective visioning and regional collaboration; branding Virginia’s New River Valley; business attraction and site selection services; and supporting existing companies.

Onward is gaining . With almost 100 investors, more people are joining the movement by supporting financially and acting as brand ambassadors for Virginia’s New River Valley. ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES • Oversee and monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and genreating financial statements • Assist with benefits administration, updates to employee handbook, and budget requests • Maintain financial and organizational record keeping • Assist with operational analysis, planning and improvements • Assist with administrative tasks related to board and committee meetings an prospect visits • Nurture and retain current investor companies • Organize, manage and coordinate quarterly investor events. • Develop new potential investors, coordinate outreach and meetings to support fundraising goals • Assist in the development of investor communications. • Attend key community functions for the purpose of sharing Onward NRV’s mission and recent successes • Handle Foreign Trade Zone #238 administrative tasks and respond to inquiries • Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS • Strong understanding of principles and financial reporting • Knowledgeable of human resource and benefits administration • Ability to analyze and understand financial statements • Outgoing personality • Excellent event planning and interpersonal skills • Excellent command of the English language including written and verbal clarity • Creative problem solver with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and planning skills • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Relevant bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Three+ years of relevant experience

SALARY Competitive and determined by evaluating qualifcations. Excellent benefits package that includes health and dental ; paid holidays; sick and annual leave; and 401K program. Position is classifed as full-time, exempt.
