Hello and Happy Summer! June marks the kickoff of some wonderful summer celebrations which may have included the end of the school year, proudly wrapping up high school or college with a graduate, preparing celebrations for Dad on Fathers or summer travels creating treasured memories with family and friends.

As always, we are thrilled to support our Las Vegas Fashion Council members and partners by presenting their products and services as well as providing helpful Tips and Trends for fashion must haves. We recently had some fantastic events and celebrated some talented fashion students with scholarships through the Public Education Foundation to further pursue their fashion careers. We are also planning for a very fashionable fall and hope that you will Save the Date and join us for our annual Fashion Focus Forum, Little Black Dress Event, artLIVE! and a few more surprises!

We would like to thank Luxury Las Vegas Magazine for hosting the Eco Couture Fashion Show at the Vu by Christopher Homes!

It was an exclusive evening featuring sustainable fashion, organically fresh music, spectacular views, savory farm- to-table hor d'oeuvres & delectable libations.

There were extraordinary designers showcasing eco-friendly & awe- inspiring fashions including a design from one our members, Larissa Navarro- Castro.

The silent auction funds raised that evening will be donated to the Las Vegas Fashion Council.

WE WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME OUR NEW MEMBER, OSCA R A RMENT A ! Oscar Armenta has been working in the cosmetic & fashion world for over 20 years. His career started when he was one of the few people selected to assist in launching Sephora in 1998, where he worked with Paulina Porizkova, Christy Turlington, Terry Ellis (En Vogue) & TLC to promote the store. Later in 2002, he went to work as business development for GUCCI Group; Gucci, YSL, Boucheron (when Tom Ford was the designer) and Oscar de la Renta. He was in charge of the Sephora, Nordstrom & Dillard’s accounts. He was a top sales person in the U.S. for Oscar de la Renta's original fragrance. He has represented brands such as Roberto Cavalli, Gianfrano Ferré and Aqua di Parma.

Oscar became a model for CLICK (Flick) Los Angeles. He moved to Northern California to be with BOOM models in San Francisco and HMM models in San Jose. He loves the world of fashion and his favorite designers are Versace, Joop and Moschino. In 2018, Oscar & his wife moved to Henderson and love it in Nevada.
