Paul L. Bowman, Jr., 54 Monday, January 3, 2005 Paul L. Bowman, Jr., 54, Peru, passed away at 5:10 a.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2005 at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne. He was born in Peru on May 31, 1950 to Paul L., Sr. and Grace L. (Sonafrank) Bowman. Bowman was a champion pool player, who won the Michigan State 9-Ball championship, as well as many others. He belonged to a team called the 'Brickyard 4,' and was featured on the cover of Michigan Pool magazine. Bowman had numerous articles written about him and was one of the big name players featured at several tournaments. He also was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He is survived by his parents; nieces and nephews, Devon Bowman, Linette Bowen Carver, Misty Bowen, Crystal Bowman Aikman, Holly Bowman Blair, Dustina Bowman Miller, Zachary Bowman; and step-niece Holly Carver; three brothers, Richard Carl Bowman and wife Kay, Peru, Thomas William Bowman, Kokomo, Curtis Dean Bowman and wife Kathy, Peru; and one sister, Julene Carol Bowman Bowen, Peru; and a cousin, Monty, who was as close as a brother. Funeral services will be at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, Peru on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Marvin Swartz officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Memorial contributions may be made to the Peru Church of the Brethren for the tsunami victims. Shirley M. Trent, 59 Monday, January 3, 2005 Shirley M.
